Trump picks Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be his Department of Health and Human Services secretary

Growing up on the farm we drank unpasteerized milk and cream and made our butter from it as well.  I grew up straight and strong.  Still, I am a big fan of pasteurization for products which are going to have any sort of shelf life.

You make a bunch of claims here that just further my point.

You want to judge someone on ideological differences and not qualifications. I can't help you with that because I disagree in that respect that it is an accurate measure of a person.

one of what you said is what I did, pure fabrication on your part

So....lets make something perfectly clear.

The media....are liars.....degenerate liars....... I dont care what they have to say about ANY of these people.  Their "opinions" are sh!t.....plain and simple.

NOW.......politicians.....you are all opposing these people out of principle, because your goal is to disrupt ANYTHING the Republicans might decide to do.....if you cared at all about people.....you would not have stood idly by while the Biden admin focked people over for four years.....so anything YOU all have to say is worthless as well.

Simple question- Why was Janet Yellen unqualified for the position she had? Please note- qualifications are pre-job requirements

I am on topic. I talked about people using ideological differences as a synonym for unqualified. You wrote one of your long nonsense riddled posts.

Again simple question to start-Why was Janet Yellen unqualified for the position she had? Please note- qualifications are pre-job requirements

Being Qualified = Being part of the problem

We have been putting swamp creatures in charge of the swamp for 60 years and wonder why the system is so corrupt.  It is such a non-sensical point.   These organizations are loaded with 80 percent wasteful non-productive overhead and riddled with incestuous corruption.

You should have replied to the post that was on topic to avoid cross pollination

She was always a proponent of stimulus measures, inflationary posture

Her race to the bottom approach to tax rates and declared support for a global minimum corporate tax rate  would be just brutal for domestic business

As Fed chair she was too dovish on rate management, meaning she would likely lean in to inflation, oh wow…and she did

ao the next natural question would be, who else?

how about Lael Brainard?  Sara Raskin?  Even Roger Ferguson would have been a better choice that the inept Yellen, who’s performance was political instead of practical

That does not answer my question.

In this thread I was talking about how RFK Jr. is not really qualified for this job. You made a post about "It's nice people want to talk about qualifications now when I didn't hear a word when Yellen was nominated."

I said- let's not confuse ideological differences with qualifications. And I asked what made Yellen unqualified for the job. and you respond in part with after the fact stuff again

You've yet to answer a simple question. Or to go a step further- why is RFK Jr. qualified for this job (if you believe he is)?

I don’t make processed food but that I assume is the goal - make it as cheap as possible. More regulations and oversight is what stops them from doing this.

Oh well, of course both are “qualified” as both have suitable experience, but not necessarily suitable

I rarely eat or drink anything with more than 3 ingredients and have never been healthier than I am at 50.  And its not expensive

Certain people in the past have not liked the guberment regulating their food. Maybe this time will be different.

Not to mention corporations resisting what has previously been cast as government intrusion on business.

I will keep an open mind, I don’t expect much.

Anything that makes food better is a good by me. Hopefully the rubes don’t whine when steps are taken to move in this direction.

Yep. These companies aren’t trying to make people fat, they are trying to make stuff that people buy as cheaply as possible. To stop them from doing that regulations will need to be created and enforced.

raise meat

grow vegetables

grow fruit

eat, no other steps or additives necessary

Again, are you willing to legislate this? Because if you’re not no amount of advice to people to eat more organically is going to matter at all.

Yes we have an obesity problem for sure. It seems to me that the only way to really fix it is to start putting restrictions on food. In the past we haven’t been willing to do that. Are we now?

if you think the food and pharmaceutical companies dont work hand in hand, I dont know what to tell you, they dont want people healthy, there is no money in being healthy

I believe they are trying to make people unhealthy, and fat comes along with it

If conservatives are really serious about legislating Kennedy’s proposals to remove and/or restrict food additives, this could be one of the most impactful and positive Presidencies in our history and I will be the first to say so. IF it actually happens.

But why do I get the feeling that conservatives aren’t really serious about this or anything; they’re just looking for ways to defend Trump’s wild appointments in order to further troll the libs?
