MSNBC Viewership Craters 38%, CNN 27%, While Fox News Audience Jumps 41% Post-Election

Recommended Posts

These numbers don’t surprise me but I also don’t expect them to last.

Starting in January, Fox News will spend all its time praising and defending the new Administration, which is frankly boring. Meanwhile CNN and MSNBC will be criticizing and attacking which is far more interesting. So their ratings should go up.

But the mainstream media praised and defended Biden and they watched that. Why wasn’t that boring?

Musk may or not be trolling MSNBC but hinting that he's thinking about buying them.  True or not, it's all pretty funny. It'd probably a bad investment since legacy news looks like a dying medium. If they could clean house and find some quality ethical and down the middle professional journalists, the brand could be restored but I don't know that those exist anymore.

Perhaps Musk should focus on the disastorous decline of X, which is bleeding subscribers.

Musk considered it his civic duty to save the world by buying Twitter. The site is crucially important in poking a massive hole in the leftwing corporate/government censorship partnership. MSNBC, on the other hand, is a discredited news source with an unsustainable business model, easily expendable and would not be missed. They do more damage than good and good riddance if no buyer comes forward.

Cool, now do Fox, which got its ass kicked in court for its irresponsible and slanderous "reporting" of the 2020 voting machines.

Funny how Trumpists forget such things.

Fox seems more viable in the short and near future since they have a more committed audience which provides some financial stability going forward. Both CNN and MSNBC have less viewers than the Hallmark channel with significantly more overhead expenses.

Fox News Channel makes history as MSNBC, CNN continue to implode since Election Day (yahoo.com)

Fox is significantly more healthy. CNN is expected to engage in massive layoffs and MSNBC is for sale.

That doesn't make Fox credible.

I'm for fact-based and unbiased, not what's winning a popularity contest.

I like that Knowles and Rogan both volunteered to host Rick Maddows show

Omg!!!

This kind of explains why Trumpists don't understand what will happen with the tariffs.

They don't understand that when someone buys a business, the expectation is to grow it and not lose 23 million followers who flock to a competitor. Meanwhile, Trump has declared bankruptcy six times.

Your ilk would bankrupt Mary Jane Rottencrotch's lemonade stand, but keep sticking with your losers.

🤣

this shows how idiotic you are

lots of billionaires buy businesses with the intention of filing bankruptcy, if you don't understand that you really have no clue about businesses

also when you start 500 businesses and ONLY 6 have to file BK thats a damn insane rate.

I know one of the BK's filed was for Trump 29 (spotlight 29 casino) that was bought as a bailout for the tribe and a write off for trump

and oh no, the libtards left the twitter to goto a safe space echo chamber

yes I absolutely DO

you are an absolute moron if you don't take advantage of the system in place.  Talk to the politicians if you want to change the system.  There is also no such thing as a tax LOOPHOLE

I have filed 2 bk's on businesses

you know absolutely zero about starting a business, we are the risk takers, the job providers, so its nice to have a safety net fallback to continue to take risks

Agree.   And this is a key reason why media has to stop lying.  Had these outlets not simply been propogandists for Democrats they could still be a valid source of information, a counter toward Fox.

But because they sacrificed their integrity for a political party, now we are left with less information.  We really need Democrats to stop sacrificing things to pursue power, its hurting us all in the end.

Musk is a billionaire.  I think he prolly just focuses on what he wants.

Only about a 40% he reads this message board, and only about a 25% chance he takes advice from you and focuses on X.

It’s been a house of cards since its beginning. Just like Air America was doomed to phail.

I dunno. In the beginning, a cable TV news station had it relatively easy since there was no internet and bloggers to contend with. Now they're all fighting for a shrinking share of the market. Its a particularly tough time for legacy media. Especially one that has lost its reputation of being trustworthy.
