There was one photo of him sliding into home, and his caption read something like: "Here's me going from 3rd base to home on my teammate's triple...safe on a close play" He's in the front row now. Engorgeous George 2,354 Posted January 16, 2025 He use to help host an MS society bike ride around Milwaukee's 76 trail, a trail built for the bicentennial which is 76 miles long and connects severeal of Milwaukee's City partks (Don't know if its true anymore but Milwaukee used to devote more City land to parks than any municipality in America) My pops, a physician and active in the MS Society always rode in teh event. One year i was back home during the time the ride was scheduled. My Dad got me to ride it with him. We showed up early as my Dad hsad a pass for VIP parking. Uecker was there and they knew each other from planning for the event. My pops introduced me. After the ride Uecker was still around at the grandstand,entertaining the crod as finishers came across the line. We hung out and when he ws done I got to share a beer with him. Nice fella. One of the best HR calls in baseball, He will be missed dearly by those of us from Wisconsin who grew up listening to him.
