It appears that I might be the only person smart enough to understand why Trump changed the name to "Gulf of America".  If you think back to the days right before Trump took office, Sleepy Joe signed a bill forbidding drilling for oil in the "GULF OF MEXICO".  By changing the name to the Gulf of America, it renders Sleepy Joe's bill useless.

 

Trump isn't drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, he is drilling in the Gulf of America.  Now it's legal!  Nothing Joe and libtards can do about it!

This was already the colonized version of its name, golfo de mexico.

It used to be called the golfo de nueva espana.
