Chuck Schumer is under investigation for allegedly threatening Supreme Court Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch in 2020, stating they would "pay the price." The probe seeks to determine if he attempted to intimidate or influence the judiciary, violating the separation of powers.

After this speech a violent suspect was arrested outside Justice Kavanaughs house

I have nothing but disdain for Chuck Schumer.  That said, and it cannot be emphasized enough that I have nothing but disdain for him; I do not believe this is a productive exercise.  We the people ought to hold idiot politicians accountable for their language, not just those we object to, but those who purport to agree with us on other matters, but continuing down the ill-concieved pathway of criminalizing political hyperbole will only normalize doing so, and once it is normalized the practice will expand until it not only chills free speech, but freezes it to death.

We’re not continuing down any pathway. This would be the first time in a long while we stepped on it (since the McCarthy era.) 

Let’s be very clear: all of this “retribution” stuff that Trump and his minions are pulling isn’t retribution at all, because the all of the various prosecutions against Trump were perfectly legitimate and warranted. If the Republicans are stupid enough to go down this path they will be the first ones to do so. The Biden folks did nothing wrong in this regard.
