Patented Phil 1,469 Posted February 10 Halftime show was shockingly bad. Uninspiring, lousy music, self-serving petty messaging, just… depressing. I guess if I had to find something positive in it, maybe the red white and blue? So horrible. It will be the new low bar to which every subsequent Superbowl is compared to. You do not have to be MAGA to think this was a POS halftime show. It was aimed at the 13-20 percent of people who care about this. IE. Black people and their groupies. The Girlfriend 208 Posted February 10 11 minutes ago, Hawkeye21 said: Why not just state the point you're trying to make? Quote A whole lot of Super Bowl viewers who vehemently hated every second of it, even the ones that didn’t seem to have watched it. They hate hip-hop. They don’t know the words. They were bored. It wasn’t family-friendly. Halftime shows should be for everyone. What that means, of course, that halftime shows should be for them. That’s what they’re used to. And when it’s not, they do not like it. It’s all there, if you take time to understand it. But there are a lot of people who are not only unwilling to do any work to learn about things that might challenge them, but who adamantly refuse to believe that they should have to. The world is not about your comfort, as much as you’ve been led to believe that. It’s not always going to be about you. Look at the last couple decades of halftime performances. You’re lying if you think the performance by Travis Tritt and The Judds was for “everyone,” because everyone doesn’t like country music. Ditto The Rolling Stones or Katy Perry. To some people, “everyone” seems to mean “people I think are important because people like me know who they are.” Be honest: there was nothing family-friendly about Britney Spears gyrating in tight pants or Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake singing “gonna have you naked by the end of this song,” even before the wardrobe malfunction. avoiding injuries 1,510 Posted February 10 Dis track? It was a bunch of mumbling that had to be explained. How are you going to criticize a generation for not being impressed when we had songs like “Hit’em Up” as dis tracks growing up.
TBayXXXVII 2,483 Posted February 10 I haven't watched a halftime show in decades... actually, maybe even ever. I can't think of a single one that even comes to mind. Maybe the Bud Bowl ones??? Don't even remember if that was halftime or commercials. Maybe next year, they can do "Beer Bowl" and use it to give love to Canada and Mexico and have the teams be Modelo vs Molson.
