100%

That and I hold onto the money I owe for as long as possible, especially with interest rates high.  Hoping tax cuts are favorable for next year too.

I have a buddy who is 63, has been lying on his taxes since he got divorced like 8 years ago. Cashed out his 401k, didn't pay taxes etc.

I guarantee you, if tax returns were gone over really closely, A LOT of people are in big trouble.

Nothing is changing for the 2024 tax year. Elon/Trump can't retroactively make changes; I don't think so anyway.

I don't think it will have an affect on our 2024 taxes so I don't see a reason to wait.

I don't expect changes for 2024. When I don't claim my 25k in rental income for the 10th straight year and they see I deposit 2000+ cash every month,  maybe someone will figure it out :dunno:

Taxes???   What?

I figure if I don't pay them for the next 4 years, and a dem wins the office, she will forgive my tax debt.

We're a lawless country with a govt that had made fraud and corruption common practice.

If you can't beat em join em.

I have plenty of money, pensions and other assets lined up for a comfortable retirement. Everything they're doing will benefit me nicely, including my business.

But I have common sense, morals, compassion and empathy for those less fortunate than myself.

I'll be fine either way, but hurting the poor and elderly to pad the oligarch's pockets is a hill upon which I'm willing to sacrifice.

And the worm quickly is turning.

Civil unrest is brewing.

You lefties create civil unrest out of thin air. There isn't a problem.

Sounds like a lot of people are not filing their taxes this year.  It's going to be very interesting when a large amount of people just stop paying.

I took 5K out for a home improvement 4 years ago and "honestly" forgot to claim it.  Last year I got a bill for 2800, I think 1300 of it was interest compiled.

I thought with all the people who actually cheat for tens or hundreds of thousands I get nailed for taking a measly 5K out. Pissed me off.

Good for you. As for me, I've just always filed my taxes as soon as possible in late January. I always get a refund so I want it as soon as possible, plus I just want to get the annoyance of filing taxes out of the way as soon as I can so I don't have to think or worry about it anymore.

Just some items that the administration cut from the budget that we were paying for

Studying the menstrual cycle of men (lol this is why democrats lost and will never win again)

Educating transgender farmers on food equality (lol this is why democrats lost and will never win again)

And more of course
