The Dean Blandino years, when all of a sudden nobody could figure out what a catch was.  I said it at the time and it’s all been proven true - the guy was the worst head of officiating in league history.  He’d see a simple paragraph in the rulebook and twist and contort himself into analysis paralysis where nothing made sense.

That “aiding the runner” rule was easy enough to officiate, and still would be.  Actually, it’s easier than trying to figure out the proper spot of the ball after a tush push.  Just ask the Bills.

Wow. This is truly some forward thinking. Once a ball carrier is trying to be tackled by a defenseman, all other 10 offensive players need to stand down while the whole of the defense is allowed to attack and push the player backward until he snaps like tree branch. That ought to make the game great again. 

I'll tell you, the packers and their fans really got some great ideas there.

It isnt because its "automatic".  

1. It dumbs the game down and ruins any flow.  

2. As seen in the Bills Chiefs game, Allen just runs it 10 times.  Then a controversial spot happens.  Yeah lets leave it more up to refs and a spot call when you cant even see the QB let alone the ball in many instances.

At the end of the day, do I really care very much? probably not....  but for arguments sake, if a ball carrier gains 3 yards and is then pushed BACK by the defense, they don't lose the ground they gained. Forward progress is called.  Why should a ball carrier be allowed to be pushed FORWARD by teammates from behind? As soon as pushing begins, the play should be blown dead for progress.
