Ok. So how many votes did Biden get? Without even knowing the names of the living people who voted for him, how do you know why they voted for them?

Biden got 81,286,454 votes. Another fair point as to causes (an uncountable myriad), but just IMO Biden's practice of accentuating positive programs like moonshot was part and parcel of what he was doing and it was successful.

What's the generally accepted estimate of how many votes Trump got in 2020 - 105 million perhaps?

Gutter, even you know how this works.

Anyone who believed that eggs would go down in the first 30 days was an idiot if that was their reason for voting for him. Just like anyone who thought that Biden would "cure cancer" was an idiot. And saying that "no one voted for Biden for that reason" is VERY short sighted. Surely, one of the 82 million heard that and thought, "Gee, not having this horrid insurable disease would be nice" and cast their vote.

Why has the price of eggs gone up considerably, but the price of chicken meat has not?

Biden was an absolute failure as a president.

Bird flu is more easily isolated and not as impactful in broiler flocks.

Totally different issue. The question was what motivated people to vote for Biden in 2020 & whether it had anything to do with his cancer research program. (I think somehow this is supposed to be a comp for Trump repeatedly promising to bring down inflation).

Of course they all lie but Trump is the king of all liars that we've ever seen.  If you look at polling, the economy and inflation were the number one reason people voted for him.

You gotta hold him accountable.

Also we already talked about the meat vs egg thing, valid reasons you can chatgpt it.

It's going to take some time to replace all of those murdered chickens.

A lot of it took place in red states under orders from governors but also Big Ag ownership. Egg laying chickens are typically crammed together, that's why they're more susceptible. Think of the cages in places like the live animal markets in China, it's cruel but they're jammed together and the virus spreads easily. What happened in places like Iowa and Virginia & Texas etc is the goal was to stop the virus by killing the chickens. We saw the same thing in the Covid epidemic when nations slaughtered all sorts of cute animals to stop the spread of Covid (ermines, badgers). This sadly is how it's done. Another step is to research and disseminate a vaccine, which after the population is culled should come next. Should.

I have no idea why each person voted for Biden. I can't claim to know why people vote for who they vote for.

I don't think it's that hard. 2000 people were sick of the Clintons' scandals and had concerns about education and social security. Look at the exit polls.

I don't know if it is a problem or not.   It seems it isn't for you.   As it isn't for me.  I am hoping folks that are being severely impacted by egg prices come in here and tell us about it

Nobody here would ever admit they couldn't afford eggs. I mean, the vast majority of us are independently wealthy, of course. And then there's the niggling fact that if one were to share that they were struggling financially there's a host of dooshbags that would bring it up constantly. Witness people being made fun of for having cancer, being overweight, or having an alcoholic loved one.

I don't pay a lot of attention to the cost of food I'm buying, I have 2 kids that are picky AF, so I buy what they'll eat, regardless of cost. But yeah, eggs at $8+/dozen is wild.

Have 14 left.  How long do they last in the fridge?

Fill a good size bowl with water. Gently place the eggs in it. If they rise to the top, throw them out. If they sink, they're still good.

Why has the price of eggs gone up considerably, but the price of chicken meat has not?

Nationwide, egg farmers lost more than 38 million birds to the flu last year — nearly 14 million in December alone. That's put a crack in the nation's egg supply, which shows no sign of easing. When a flock of egg-laying hens is wiped out, it takes six months to a year to recover.

"Egg farmers are in the fight of their lives to keep this disease at bay, to keep our hens safe and to keep eggs coming," says Sam Krouse, a farmer who oversees a flock of 14 million laying hens in Indiana, Illinois, Texas and Georgia. "We know it's frustrating for consumers who want to go and buy eggs at the prices they've been used to."

But chicken wings are a different matter

Chickens raised for meat — known as "broilers" — live on different farms than those that produce eggs. And while broilers are not immune from avian flu, they haven't been hit nearly as hard as their egg-laying cousins.

"They're younger typically, and older birds are more susceptible to the virus," says Tom Super of the National Chicken Council. "And broiler chickens are also not on the farm as long — only about seven weeks."

Which is why the OP is rather disingenuous in that it won't prove anything if no one comes forward and says they can't afford a dozen eggs.

Don't get used to that.

For a long time we had farm fresh eggs given to us by my FIL. He'd drop off like 7 dozen at a time and we're not huge egg eaters. So they would sit unrefrigerated, which I've heard is a better way to store them for an extended period. I've opened a dozen, tested them all, and only kept one or 2. But nobody in the house has gotten sick yet, so I assume this is a good tactic.

Biden promised to fix and expand social security. He did neither. Cola increases don’t count. He was more interested in his failed green new deal and benefits for migrants.

Dude. Now you're just making things up.  I was not and will not make any determination about what it does or doesn't prove.   I'm curious how the price of eggs may or may not be affecting peoples lives.  If you'd rather not add your own thoughts on the subject, please go back to falsely accusing people of racism.

It's not just eggs lets be honest.  Anyone bought cream recently?  A quart of cream is almost $10 now.  Crazy.

$5.99 retail price for 48 ounces of Breyer's Ice Cream.

https://www.hy-vee.com/aisles-online/p/28716/Breyers-Natural-Vanilla-Ice-Cream?srsltid=AfmBOop2CsKvBWwyUZpvEmCDSqhFxKrLGz17Ow3utWRBE2gDNBANMcc5

A quart is only 32 ounces. So a quart of that Breyer's at retail price is only $3.98.

And that's retail, every couple weeks or so it's 2 for $6. 2 of those is 3 quarts so $2 per quart when on sale. Not $10.

$10 by me for preferred brand.
