Let me be clear:  Of course I believe they should get a hearing, but they should not have full-blown lawyers paid for by taxpayers and have a multi-million dollar, years long defense like OJ Simpson.  What this guy is getting is a waste of money and patently absurd that he's getting this much time, attention and appeals.  We had documentation and the court ignored it and imposed their own activist view.

So far as I know, Abrego Garcia’s defense is paid for by volunteers through crowdsourcing, not by the taxpayer. Do you have information to back up your insistence otherwise?

But, regardless, taxpayers ARE funding his defense by the amount of time he's tying up the courts, the police and the jail system.  No illegal immigrant should ever be allowed to use this many resources, especially since the government has documentation he's here illegally, and being a criminal while he's here.  He doesn't get a pass but an activist judge has decided to impose their own laws on the matter.

When Tim was in grade school his dad used to pay illegals to do tims homework and take his tests.

That guaranteed time would not be qualified to work, and he would have to would have to take care of his dad's lifelong dream of owning an abandoned strip mall. Tim is doing that to this day.

I was arguing against the specific point that “taxpayers are paying for his defense.” That is false. Taxpayers are paying for his prosecution which frankly strikes me as unnecessary. I don’t really buy that he’s a serious criminal and I don’t think we as a society would lose much by letting him stay here.

The dude has MS 13 tattoos on his knuckles. Not the letters/numbers  M - S - 1  and 3, which were added to the photo of his hand to make the point, but the marijuana leaf, smilie face, cross, and skull under the letters

Plus he was pulled over two states from home with an SUV full of eight migrants with no luggage. Plus the domestic abuse charges. Plus the soliciting child porn.
