What Keeps You From Accepting Jesus As Your Savior?

Recommended Posts

Serious and I been there ,my problem with Jesus for years was why do let people be retarded and are helpless and also not protect the dogs and animals and still feel that way kinda. I don't understand that and may never but I do know he cared for me all my life and watched over me!! He is offering a gift of Eternal Life for all you here!! Don't try to impress others on here and make a joke out of it!

Jesus isn't a savior. He was a powerful man who exists as a spiritual entity that guides humanity. He understood the truth about reality and wanted to teach everyone that they had these same gifts. He studied multiple spiritual lineages like Buddhism.

You do not need him though. There are other ways to tap into your divine gifts. There are no sins to wash away. Everyone goes to the same place eventually.

Free gift Bro and wish you would take it but sadly you wont! You think you are smarter than our Creator and good luck with that!

Yep Jesus is Lord and The Son of Man, King of Kings and also God!

What if he was just the code writer for the simulation

I don't dispute that Jesus is God, but we are all equally a part of God that Jesus was or is.

He's also a very powerful spiritual guide right now, and certain people can resonate with that. There are tons of people who have been visited or helped by Jesus.

He's not the only one though. There are other guides just as helpful and powerful.

I was talking about me and possibly you.  Jesus is dead.

Well this is definitely a simulation. Matter is 99.999% empty space, yet we appear whole.

That is where you are wrong and we only get to Heaven through him. Jesus is the gate to heaven. Been written for us for thousand of years yet many turn their back on their savoir!

I like and respect Jesus's teachings and all, but when I was a depressed suicidal kid in need and prayed vigorously for the mental anguish to be relieved, no help ever came. I didn't understand why I was always being ignored. It became easier to comprehend that that the reason nobody ever came to help was because the stories were all made up and there was no entity listening and capable of helping.

That jived with some of the inaccuracies I saw in the Bible that didn't make logical sense to me.

Now that I'm older, I have a better comprehension of what the church has accomplished and tries to accomplish, I respect them more. The shared beliefs and sense of community. The secular world has made a disgrace of replacing Christian morality and ethics with a perverted form of such. I find it vile and that responsibility goes to those who tried to replace Christian foundatioins with 21st century psychological stupid nonsense. Consequently, I respect the church more than ever for what they've been preaching and wanting to accomplish all along.

I follow the Christian teachings and guidelines  because it's a good way to live, not because I need/expect a thunderbolt up my butt. I don't know if there is an afterlife or not, but they guessed wrong on creation, so I doubt they know any more than I do. Also, since I recall how prayer never proved useful to me back before when I really needed and could have used help, I never got back into the practice now that I don't.

Great Post Voltaire!  Your alias name fits you perfectly!

I have a similiar experience as I wondered why NONE of my prayers were ever answered.  Maybe there is no God or maybe we have to save ourselves.

Regarding the afterlife, I have come to the belief that our spirit is an energy and energy is always transferred, so when our physical body ends our spiritual energy is transferred somewhere.

There is proof that Jesus exited and read the Bible if you have one and learn more about him if you want.

Love this guy and mostly for the drafts on here and thanks buddy. I question God for years if you read my first post and still do. There is something more to it and real and hard to describe and maybe it is faith on my part and hope so. He is real and what does it say in the Bible? Seek me and you will find me.

I have heard it said that all prayers are answered, its just that sometimes the answer is "No!".

Any response at all, even a "no," would have been appreciated at the time, because it would confirm that somebody was listening. My experience more coincided with being taught to go knock on that locked door and make a request and help would come. Then after 500 times of knocking on the door and not getting a response, figuring out either the house was empty or that they just didn't want to see me but useless either way. "Tell him I'm not home" would have been great. I'll stop wasting my time.

No response? I'll just see myself out again, thanks.

I’m going to offer a serious answer to this question beyond being a non believer.

My main problem with Christianity is the doctrine that good works do not get you into Heaven: only acceptance of Jesus does; otherwise you are doomed to Hell everlasting.

Hans Frank was the Nazi governor of Poland during World War II. He helped cause the murder of over five million people, most of them Jews. While in prison awaiting his hanging ar Nuremberg after the war, Frank met with a pastor, found Jesus Christ, and begged forgiveness for his sins. This is known in Christianity as “finding redemption”.

According to Christian doctrine, Hand Frank is now in Heaven as he found Jesus at the end of his life. Meanwhile most of Frank’s innocent victims who died as Jews are now burning in hell. I find this idea to be grossly immoral and unjust. I could never accept it. That’s why I can’t accept Jesus as my savior.

You can’t accept Jesus as your savior because you’re a Jew

Don't you believe that you can wave a chicken over your head to absorb your sins?

Another GREAT POST!

If God is so benevolent, why would he say "NO!" to a person begging for help?
