I might have sold one thing in the last two months, people are holding onto their money and wont spend. Just a side hustle for me don't give a F for now but it's real what is happening! I quit listing sh!t and waste of my time, they won't buy it anyways!

People have been spending too much including using credit cards. They are out of money and in significant credit card debt. This occurred before Trump took office this January. They don't have money or credit to spend anymore on collectibles on ebay that they can live without for a while.

I haven't carried a credit card balance over a month since to was in my 20s. 

What are they teaching in school these days? The teachers call themselves adults but they themselves are in debt because they don't know how to think rationally in life.

I don't know what you're selling on ebay but I do doubt that its ALL ebay sales. People on ether side are concerned about the near term economy. A lot of times when this happens, we see people avoiding big luxury purchases... like cars for example, but we often see an uptick in small luxury purchases. Think hand bags for the women and libs . Overpriced coffees, lots of things.  The idea behind it is that people view those smaller luxury items as a needed treat for themselves during stressful / uncertain times. Individually, they won't break the bank and bring that temporary serotonin boost. Practically speaking the spending is often much worse since the boost in happiness and usefulness of those purchases is much more fleeting and can quickly add up to and surpass the cost of that larger luxury item. 

I would bet people are still buying pre owned Jordans, the crazy Labubu things my nieces are obsessed with, designer bags, etc..  If you were reselling that kind of stuff you're probably loving it right now.

I don't know how long ago it was, but I started losing interest when it became less individual people selling kind of unique things, and became like an online grouping of stores. Has to be like 20 years or so now.  Probably more.
