Mike FF Today 721 Posted May 7 Trade Alert! Steelers get rid of one diva receiver...
Maximum Overkill 1,822 Posted May 7 I love this for the Cowboys. It's such a typical Jerrah move. Good luck with your new headache.
listen2me 23 1,836 Posted May 7 Cowboys are still the Cowboys. Jerrah just wants theater. Not serious about winning.

GobbleDog 987 Posted May 7 I had high hopes for Pickens last year finally getting a decent Qb... but every Wr metric you can think of - he absolutely stunk. I guess he'll be better in Dallas, sure as hell can't do any worse. He's not on my fantasy radar. Ranked Wr 33.... yeah, no thanks.
LaChup 232 Posted May 7 Don't you have to do something before you can be a diva? Seems like they give these diva titles out way too frequently these days.
Maximum Overkill 1,822 Posted May 7 He's clashed with reporters, clashed with his QB on the field (numerous) times, cries constantly that he's not getting the ball, and held out for a new contract refusing to be with the team. What more do you need to be a Diva?

What more do you need to be a Diva? agreed. though typically Divas still produce. this guy produced good numbers once. Last year was ok. if you pro rate based on games played he'd have been over 1000 yards. but its not like hes a TD beast or anything. hes a solid #2 WR with an attitude problem. though if he pulls that crap with Jerry he may find Jerry will make an example of him. lol. be fun to watch that play out I'm sure. Maximum Overkill 1,822 Posted May 10 George Pickens has had mental issues since day 1 in college. He brought them to Pittsburgh and he'll bring them to Dallas. A couple ugly performances and Crazy George will rear his ugly head.
listen2me 23 1,836 Posted May 10 Pickens has skills. Hes also a problem. He or CD will be unhappy if they arent getting enough targets. Then they have to pay him next year. Still dont have Parson signed. Their D stinks. And Dak is still your QB. It might be fun for a bit. But in the end they will have 2 highly paid WRs that both think they are the alpha. Made total sense for Pitt to unload him. They were a bit over him. They arent winning anything this year. Have no QB. And werent going to give him a contract anyway. So might as well get something for him.
polecatt 477 Posted May 11 They're gonna be able to stretch the field for sure. CeeDee is a good deep threat, and IMO the best WR in the NFL after the catch. Pickens is a 6'3 with deep speed Kavontae Turpin is the fastest player in the NFL They drafted an RB with a 40 time in the 4.3s in Jaydon Blue, perfect for screens and dump off passes. Dak could be in for a big fantasy season

CeeDee produces at a level that you are willing to put up with whatever issues he has. That is not the case with Pickens. if they had to choose between the two Pickens would be out on his Azz. its a good opportunity for the guy. and the Cowboys seem to be able to make Diva WRs work sometimes. I also think its gonna be made very clear (if it hasnt been already) that he needs to know his place. CeeDee is the #1 dog here.
kcBlitzkrieg 29 Posted May 13 Good for DAK and Ceedee. OK for George. Still be a high volatility player. TDs likely see a bump. Cooks 2023 type of season 800 / 8.

kilroy69 1,228 Posted May 14 I give it 1 month tops into the season before parsons tries to kill him for taking plays off and putting the defense in a crappy position

Jerry jones one of those guys who is nice to you while you are pulling your weight. but if you start problems he can be very petty that way. he wont be pushed around. anyone who tries will pay the price and he will make an example of them. this is not a good place to pull your Diva crap. Jerry will put up with a certain amount if you are producing at an ELITE level, but that guy only has so much goodwill in him. Anything less than elite performance and there is no give in that guy. so it will be interesting to follow. but maybe a guy like Pickens needs that kind of management. Some WR only behave like that because managment allows it. either way, its gonna be feast or famine with this guy. I'm personally still undecided, but I dont blame you if you have him on your DND list. Likely i'd hope he slides to a point where I can get him as a WR4. That seems like a spot where I dont mind taking the risk on the guy. I wouldnt draft him as one of my starters though.

Dak could be in for a big fantasy season Last year, in the 8 games he played, he averaged 15.6 fpg which was good for QB18. I don't think Dallas did anything to "improve", at all, from last year. They still have an average OL, their WR2 is still "ok" (I don't really think Pickens is "better" than Cooks), their RB's are still 'meh', at best. Will Dak be startable? Yeah, probably. But I wouldn't want him as my QB1. Most of the leagues I play in, are 2QB leagues. I have no problem with him as my QB2. In my 1QB leagues, I won't draft him as I don't roster 2 QB's in those leagues. If he has a "big fantasy season", I'd be pretty surprised. I think he'll be better than last year, but I still expect him to fall outside of the top 15 in QB's. NOW, a caveat would be, how is the defense? If the defense is really bad and the Cowboys are playing catchup a lot and they're putting up a lot of junk yards/points, then I can see him being a back end QB1.
