**Round One-Three Commentary**

Was hoping St. Brown would last 1 more pick, but Puca's fine. Although there's a risk with the WR change up over the offseason.

Yup......already started in the First Round.....Dan sniped the WR I wanted in Nabers! So, I had to pivot to ASB on a good scoring team and hope that Johnson leaving won't impact them too much and that OC Morton will keep up the passing. I believe ASB's injury will not slow him this year as he is scheduled to be ready for training camp.

Hold up, Vikes...Ray needs to change his pick at 1.12.

I too was hoping for a shot at St. Brown.

1.12 : Brian Thomas JR: Originally picked Henry in part because I never thought someone would over pay for him in the first round, certainly not at #6, but here we are....so then I am relegated to a WR/WR start to remain consistent with by VBD list.

2.01 : Considered three here, but settled on Collins, a little risky given their Oline, but to my eyes that line mainly cant block for the run, but does have some ability to pass block, with the addition of Kirk I am forecasting some big plays for Collins

Pretty uninspiring start at the turn, I had hoped for something more interesting.

1.12 : Derrick Henry: I guess the main question is when does this guy ever slow down, he is seemingly eternal.  Maybe its this year, but I think it wont be.  Knowing the Ravens, this monster will be a statistical machine.

Great analysis. Now go change your pick.

Didn't want to wait and gamble on 2 RBs at the 3/4 turn. Achane loses some luster in standard leagues, but hopefully the Dolphins will be better this year and that'll cancel things out.

Well……McCaffrey in round 2 is where I wanted to take him. I hear he is healthy, and if so, he should be good for 1 more year. A big “if” I know, but I know nothing would have been better at 3.10

McCaffrey is either going to win a lot of people their leagues, or lose a lot of people their leagues. This isn't the same 9ers team he dominated with, and while it seems like the Achilles is no longer the career ender it once was, there is just too much risk for my liking.

Fair response, I get it. But at my age, I don’t have a lot of time to play games!

You're welcome. I came very close to going a couple different directions, including Saint Brown, of whom I am generally a fan. But I really, really like Malik's upside. And that won out in the end.

Also considered going running back, but I think I made the right decision on that front, as I think I got the best running back in this group, given the lack of PPR.

Figured I sure up the RB position right away with Henry and then Jacobs.  Feeling confident with them.

looking at a handful of players for this upcoming turn. Was hoping Bucky Irving might fall.... have a feeling my next pick will not be highly regarded. we shall see.

Bucky was next on my list, but when we went I decided to get my top QB and didn't think Allen would make it back to me.

Bijan, Breece, Brock

killer Bs baby!

Breece Hall: it feels very boom or bust and there were 2 other RBs I considered here. Decided to be a homer. Hall played banged up most of last year and while the Jets have some depth, I’m going to roll the dice on him being their version of Gibbs. Plus he’s in a contract year.

Brock Bowers : I don’t like going TE this early but with a QB and coaching upgrade (and not much WR upgrade) I could see him being the slam dunk TE1 with very little downside

I've noticed my picks so far have a subconscious midwest slant to them

Barkley - Penn State
Burrow - Ohio State/Bengals
McLaurin - Ohio State

I thought Drake London could have gone mid-second round. His connection with Penix late last season was eye opening. Could be a huge steal @ 3.04.

This was an absolute gift, it is criminal how far he fell here, I was salivating that he might continue to fall.

I was shocked too, I couldn’t pass up on him there.

Agree with both comments on London.......best "steal" so far. Congrats!

After grabbing back-to-back RBs I decided to grab a WR.  I went with to top one left on my list, MacConkey.  I had drafted him late last year on some teams and he was great.  Not only do I see him having a great season but I love saying his name, McCAHNkey.

I was between Ladd and London for my pick.   I just think the Falcons will pass more.  Ladd is a good value there too in my opinion

I debated on grabbing Cook instead of McLaurin. Had his named typed in 2 different times. Just couldn't get past the possible contract issue.

Same here. I was looking at Cook vs. Kittle and decided on Kittle in consideration of Cook possibly holding out.

I was looking at Cook at the 5 spot as well, but the risk is too high with all of the uncertainty regarding his holdout.

What was everyone's feeling about my selection of Lamar? There were about 10 guys that I had rated similarly at RB/WR/TE, so I went with my #1 QB. Too early?

I don't know he can repeat a 4K/40 TD season, but no arguments with his selection. If you're willing to take a QB early, he's as good a one as any.

The moment Josh Allen came off the board, the 'too early' concern disappeared.

Great selection IMHO. Okay plz e to take him.

Lots of good options. We'll see if I played this right in the 4th round.  But it feels like there are 3 TEs in the top tier, and McBride is the last of that. Or maybe I'm just infatuated because he's my dynasty TE.  :)

Really glad McConkey got taken. I love him, but not keen on banking the top side of my draft on one offense . . .  unless it's a record setter.

It seemed fine to me, rare talent and could easily outscore every other QB this year

Agreed. I would have taken Jackson at 3.07 if he had fallen that far.

For you old timers, do you remember when JScott picked Andrew Luck #1 overall once upon a time in this draft?

Love the Daniels pick.  One of the guys that I was considering against McBride.  Absolutely love his youth, his talent, his upside, and the direction that Washington seems to be going.

Outstanding.

All the RBs here make me nervous as hell. JSN is ascending, let's see what Darnold gives him.

Thanks Dan. This is hilarious......I had McBride as my pick after you picked......BUT, true to form, you snipped me again. Daniels was my #2 pick at the 3.10
