Imagine using your weekend to do this.  Lol.

Gathering together with your community to support a common cause you believe in?  That's bad?

Please don't do that, it's yet another waste of time from you.

I spent a beautiful fall weekend blissfully unaware of world events enjoying time relaxing and hanging out with my kids.

Opened this thread today with no knowledge of what occurred. Reading through it simply confirmed what I've known for a decade-ish:

MAGA is the party of hate, bile and vitriol. It's right here in the thread, and it really can't be debated. Guys are (all but) openly cheering for violence. None occurred, so they need to belittle No Kings, condemn it, question the motivations, patriotism, employment status (of course!🤣) and manhood (?wtf?) of those attending. They can't handle that the opposition's dissent isn't manufactured lies, like what they sustain themselves on. They can't handle that the stories they believe about attendees being America-hating terrorists aren't true, or that those of us in opposition to father aren't opposed in a vacuum; there are valid reasons. They can't handle that they've made some very poor political choices, or that they've been swindled by those they support. The level of hostility is remarkable from a cohort that happily minimizes attendance, importance, and even the veracity of the events.

I counted ONE POST (by Jerry, of course, who passes as the thinking man's MAGA- and no, that term is not in itself oxymoronic... yet) that carefully acknowledged that no violence was a good thing. I imagined him posting it with hands in pockets, kicking a rock and keeping his gaze on the ground, hoping that nobody notices that he's a little annoyed that nothing was burned to the ground.

Instead of looking in the mirror, they cast hate. Everyone else just piles on with the same old tired lies. I'm still hopeful that MAGA will return to the ranks of normal humanity someday, but if they don't, c'est la vie.

Thanks, I think.

Also, I never root for violence.  But I was indeed pleasantly surprised by its absence.  I think credit goes to the organizers who seemed to schedule them in the middle of the day and ensure they ended well before dark.  And they did it for free, because it was all organic!  :D

Who is "just stupid," Moderate Tim.  Are you saying 86 can't refer to killing, particularly in police or military circles?

Comey and Patel.  It “can,” but as you stated previously generally it does not.  Thanks for agreeing!

Like Gutter, I did not watch the video you posted earlier, obviously I condemn anyone calling for anyone’s assassination.

Again, wasting my time looking for a Tim gotcha.  A "Timcha"?  I said I would presume it is authentic unless I see evidence to the contrary.  That's generally my position on things, since I try to be open minded.  It must be easy, just swallowing the blue pill on everything categorically.  :(

Agreeing with what?  "Generally" means a majority of the time.

Let's say, however, that only 10% of people make that association.  Is it still OK to use it?

It’s hilarious that you would talk about “swallowing the blue pill” in a conversation about a ton of righties including Ted Cruz being mindless sheep and believing a lie.

Yeah, you said “I’ll accept it unless better evidence emerges,” but you also said you “don’t know.”  Live videos from multiple sources confirmed it was real and from Saturday.  If you still have any skepticism about it, lol.

I know you don't root for violence, that's why I said I imagined you posting it.

I will point out that I, a filthy, traitorous lib, am acknowledging that you, a righteous, god-fearing, morally superior conservative to whom I am diametrically opposed, are actually capable of thinking and behaving like a normal human, and are not, in fact, a subhuman NPC shitpile. This is a consideration that most of your ilk in the GC refuse to grant to those of my ilk. This thread offers plenty of examples.

Also, and follow me here cuz things are about to get radical: perhaps this is yet another piece of evidence indicating that protests are almost always peaceful during the times in which they are scheduled, or organically evolve. Whereas when the sun sets, and people start hiding their faces, and those with good intentions have gone home for the day, the bad apples come out and turn things into riots or violent encounters. This tiny population of miscreants are not protestors. They are criminals and they do not represent the multitudes of well-intentioned Americans that are trying to be heard.

I thought the protest sites in large cities being empty by the afternoon was indication that the protestors were all paid?

Just goes to show how lazy they are. Soros must have shelled out like half a bil for that many people to show up. You'd think with that nice of a payday, those freeloaders could've stuck around till dinner time at least.

I've said for past protests (not the current batch) that obviously not everyone, or even most, are paid.  There are probably enough paid protestors to control things -- start chants for instance.  In this case, they likely helped to disperse the crowd.

This is just my theory of course.  I think it is more plausible than to think Times Square organically turned into a ghost town shortly after 1PM.  Hell, I was just there a month ago, it's never not packed.

I’d put the number of people who show up to the type of thing from the weekend who are being paid at like .01%. That includes the cops who are there working 😂

Kenny Loggins Demands Removal of 'Danger Zone' from Trump's AI Feces-Dropping Video
Last updated 23 minutes ago

Musician Kenny Loggins issued a statement condemning President Donald Trump's repost of an AI-generated video on Truth Social, which features Trump piloting a 'King Trump' jet dropping feces on 'No Kings' protesters while set to Loggins' 1986 song 'Danger Zone.' Loggins called the use unauthorized and requested its immediate removal, stressing the need for unity amid nationwide demonstrations against Trump's policies that drew over 2 million participants in more than 200 U.S. locations. The video, which originated from an anonymous source and went viral before Loggins' objection, remains online without response from Trump's team.

This is in fact true for almost all protests in the US, regardless of political bent. Jan 6 happening in broad daylight was a huge exception. I sincerely hope a shameful episode like that that never happens again.

Donald's youngest is named Baron. Not even Duke or Earl.

Duke, earl, and baron are all titles of nobility, but they are ranked in a strict hierarchy, from highest to lowest: duke, marquess, earl, viscount, and baron. A duke is the highest rank, while a baron is the lowest rank within the peerage. An earl is a mid-level rank, higher than a viscount and baron but lower than a marquess and duke.

Also, Donald is the name of Donald Duck. Not very king like.

Considering Trump's 1st year of his 2nd term is not over yet, we've still got 4 MORE YEARS.

He's President until January of the year 2029.

Yep. Liberals pray daily some ill will happens to Trump before the end of his term.

But I'm glad they look to him as King Trump. There is at least some respect shown there.

Well, there was that pesky little takeover of a section of Seattle for weeks/months.  I'm guessing a molotov or two was thrown at federal resources in Portland daylight during the Summer of Love as well, but I don't recall for sure.

No! It is spelled Barron nor Baron and it is believed that the name was chosen based on the famous hotel mogul Barron Hilton.

  • The name Barron has origins in Germanic and Latin roots, meaning "warrior" or "nobleman," and is also a derivative of the word "baron," referring to a nobleman or a powerful figure in a specific industry.

The name Barron is used for several notable figures, most famously for hotel magnate Barron Hilton (1927–2019) and his grandson, Barron Trump.
