Well, they’re showing up early this AM.  I counted 17 charter buses and 3 box trucks staged just off the Interstate.  Thats just off one exit, I’m sure there’s more elsewhere.  And no, I’m not insinuating that they’re bringing bricks, etc. My experience is that the box trucks are full of signs, banners, food, medical supplies, etc.

Im going to be at the Huntington Beach Pier today. Now the last time there was a large gathering at the Pier it was a vigil immediately following Charlie Kirk’s murder. Unfortunately things got ugly because a group of Neo-Nazi skinheads showed up holding signs blaming blacks, Jews and undocumented immigrants for what happened to Kirk and attacking the police and peaceful bystanders. “White men fight back”.

I was caught in the middle of the Rodney King riots in 1992. I didn’t see any murders, but I saw, directly in front of me, plenty of looting and burning. I would call that violent activity. I don’t anticipate that today.

Even if it happens in one location?

I would consider this violent activity:

• Anyone gets murdered or assaulted - even if it's one person
• Businesses get looted - even if it's one business
• Protesters clash with authorities - even if it's one location
• Protestors block traffic for normal citizens - even if it's one location
• Fires get started - even if it's at one location
• City blocks get seized - even if it's one location

"Peaceful Protests" are just that - peaceful.  There should be ZERO issues anywhere.  Even in your example above where you quoted 99.5%, that's still .5% violent.
