Yes, there was some looting, but it was restricted to a two block area in Downtown L.A. and ended when Karen Bass imposed a curfew.

The burning was about a dozen vehicle fires, but no structures.

And there were no killings connected with the protests.

Agree. Gratefully Trump moved decisively to prevent what Democrats have allowed in the past.  The good people in LA deserved protection from the bad.   So we are all good..... the OUTCOME was positive.

I think the premise they are hoping to sell is that by doing nothing, it would have all gradually gone away on its own.  This they believe, even though we have ample evidence in the past riots that it only got worse when not dealt with.

The link makes it sounds like there was a collision between the two vehicles.  That would explain following him off the highway, and could have been what he was yelling about.
