1000%.  You know damn well if this was happening to a black girl, all of the liberals and race grifters would be out in full force complaining how America is the worst country in the world and so racist.

The WNBA is literally filled with a bunch of racists.  Seems like we should be removing them the WNBA, not giving them voices.

IIRC when Caitlyn Clark got injured the WNBA ratings cratered until she came back.

"My" numbers aren't off.  If "those" numbers are off, you only have you take that up with the NBA.

LOL

1.) The NBA playoffs got a 6.7 rating, 2.) the finals got the highest rating in 6 years.  WNBA ratings are 100% driven by Clark.

1.) This is demonstrably false. I showed this.

2.) The final game got the highest rating in 6 years but that is misleading considering it was a Game 7 which is almost always highly rated. The finals as a whole was not the highest rated in 6 years. In fact it was the lowest rating of the last 5 years- again, as shown

I got the numbers from google which pulled them from the NBA.com.  If you have an issue, then your issue is with google and the NBA.

The numbers were faulty and I showed the actual ratings.

Yes- NBA.com gave a rosy faulty view of the numbers. you bought them hook, line, and sinker and posted them here. I showed the real numbers and you are getting pissy about it.

Maybe YOU had the faulty numbers?  You ever think of that?  This is not a "last person who posts" wins type of scenario.

She's had a few bad games this season while playing injured.  Her bad games are still better than most of the other players though.

LOL, actually it's you that is being pissy because you jumped the gun.  Hawkeye made 2 posts.  I quoted one, but addressed both.  In the post I didn't quote, he said the WNBA was getting better ratings than the NBA playoffs.  I gave him information that showed he was wrong.  You evidently wanted to call me out on that because I omitted that other post.  I gave you the post where he mentioned that, and you apparently got offended by it.  I mean, all you had to say was, "Ah, missed it ", and I would've replied with a "" and done.  But, you needed to post historical ratings, which I never argued and wanted to say I was wrong... even though, I wasn't.  I simply stated that the NBA ratings got over a 6 for the playoffs and had the highest finals in 6 years.  I don't care how or why they were generated because that wasn't the point or the argument... just that the NBA playoffs were getting better ratings than the WNBA.

He's arguing against a point that was never made and trying to me accountable to that point.

Jesus christ you are stupid. It has nothing to do with posting last. It is posting factual stuff you dipsh!t.

You said this: "The NBA playoffs got a 6.7 rating,"

That is demonstrably false. I showed the numbers that proved that. I also talked about the final game numbers and how its accurate but misleading. You are writing paragraphs in order to not be wrong.

I like you Mooney, but you are being pissy here.

Great time for the WNBA to expand. They are at a point when the players coming into the league were born after the league began. I think the incoming talent will continue to show that that matters. I have only caught some games here and there, but when you see the scores on espn, you see high scoring totals. Numbers like 90 pts in a 40 minute game. Caitlin has been a huge boost, others will follow, like Bueckers already. Yeah, it is still a lower tier sports viewing, but it has its lane, and is great for basketball overall.

reading the back and forth, it's not really important but i'd say Mooney is right. You can't make the claims you were making based off what google AI overview told you with a link to NBA.com and then act like it's not your problem if you quoted numbers that were wrong.

TBay made a statement that was false. He made one statement that was true but misleading. I presented the actual numbers and showed he was wrong on the first claim and he's written a lot of words to avoid saying he was wrong.

Hawkeye said that the WNBA was getting better ratings, all my point was is that they're not.  The specific number is/was irrelevant.  The numbers weren't wrong though.  NBA.com says they had a 6+ rating for the playoffs and that the finals was the best in 6 years.  If the number was 6.7 instead of 6.2 or it was 6.1 instead of 6.3, that's irrelevant because the exact number itself isn't relevant... in that the point was it's relation to the WNBA.  Even if the number 2, the WNBA only maxed out at 1.7 in 1 game, their average leaguewide is still around 1.

I never argued whether the NBA's numbers were better or worse year to year.  I don't even care about that as we all know the NBA has been declining in popularity since the 2020 faux racial crap.

like i said, it's not really important

Though I think if the number was 2, that would be very significant and we would be having some serious discussion at to why. So while I agree, the actual number does not matter in terms of 6.2 vs 6.1 etc etc, you came with a specific number of 6.7 for playoff rating this year and a specific claim that it was the highest rated finals in 6 years.  Mooney may be nitpicking but you started off with specific numbers and claims and backpedaled to simple notions (NBA having higher ratings) so i'm not going to totally fault the guy for discussing the numbers.

https://www.nba.com/news/nba-finals-game-7-2025-most-watched-six-years

"Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers was the most-watched NBA Finals game in six years, averaging 16.4 million viewers on ABC. The game peaked with 19.3 million viewers at 9:45 p.m. ET."

"The full 2025 NBA postseason (Playoffs and Finals) across ABC and ESPN averaged 6.12 million viewers per game, up 10% vs. last year."

you initially said the finals got the highest rating in 6 years.  Now it's game 7 specifically.

again, I don't care because I understand your overall point and you didn't really need to include any specific numbers to back it up. but I can also understand Mooney correcting you.

that is all

Jesus Christ.  Can someone confirm or deny that the wnba is actually getting more viewers than the NBA?  I don't really care about mooney trying to split hairs about a rating being 6.7 or 6 or whatever.

I'm interested because if the NBA is selling broadcast rights for billions or whatever and the wnba is selling them for like 20 million a year, someone got a great deal and I'd probably figure out if that's investable.  But I suspect that's total BS since the wnba would have to fire and probably murder whoever negotiated that tv contract.

Thinking about this some more, @TBayXXXVII should apologize for this gross misrepresentation. I mean, look at the facts. Someone eloquently shared that the WNBA had better ratings than the NBA. And then Tbay lies that the NBA ratings are very very significantly better when they are merely very significantly better. F'n Tbay !

OH, and they STILL lost money for like the 30th year in a row.

Anyone know of any business that lose money year after year but still manage to stay in business?
