Four girls from one school in Beaumont are missing. The topography is pretty much rock, so there is little to no absorption, so the only place for water to go is into the river, which rose up insanely fast. There was almost zero time to evacuate anyone. I saw one video of a guy telling a woman to get the hell out of her house now, and she said, "I hear people screaming."
