The Real timschochet 7,358 Posted August 15 The 0.9 increase is disturbing. And obviously I believe it’s only the beginning, it’s not too late for Trump to walk most of this back…

Your only move is to lie upon lie, so anything you might say, I have to immediately question..... Now, where I was proven wrong, I admitted it..... I notice that you switched it up when you realized your lie would be exposed and tried to reframe your broad statement, but I think most reasonable people can see that lie too You lie. Par for the course from you. And I didn't reframe. Please find the sentence where I said "You never admit you are wrong." I'll hang up and wait. You reframed the discussion. It's another tactic from you

Ron_Artest 2,135 Posted September 11 Prices consumers pay for a variety of goods and services moved higher than expected in August while jobless claims accelerated, providing challenging economic signals for the Federal Reserve before its meeting next week. The consumer price index posted a seasonally adjusted 0.4% increase for the month, double the prior month, putting the annual inflation rate at 2.9%, up 0.2 percentage point from the prior month and the highest reading since January. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for respective readings of 0.3% and 2.9%. For the vital core reading that excludes food and energy, the August gain was 0.3%, putting the 12-month figure at 3.1%, both as forecast. Fed officials consider core to be a better gauge of long-run trends. The central bank’s inflation target is 2%. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/11/consumer-prices-rose-at-annual-rate-of-2point9percent-in-august-as-weekly-jobless-claims-jump.html

thegeneral 3,544 Posted October 16 Where @RLLD at?! Right up his alley! Link “Nine months after Donald Trump took office, promising to reduce prices on “day one”, a clear majority of Americans say their monthly costs have risen by between $100 and $749, according to an exclusive new poll conducted for the Guardian. The president has continued to insist that there is “virtually no inflation”. “Prices are ‘WAY DOWN’ in the USA,” Trump wrote on social media in late August. Yet according to a new Harris poll, Americans are still reporting soaring inflation and are increasingly pessimistic about the economy.”

Gepetto 1,445 Posted yesterday at 05:37 PM Inflation always occurs. We just don't want ridiculous inflation like what happened in Biden's term. Actually they were projecting 3.1% inflation and it was only 3.0% inflation, which was a pleasant surprise.
