Another month of controlled inflation

You never proved me wrong about anything, you simply lied each time I refuted the prior lie.   Your only move is to lie upon lie, so anything you might say, I have to immediately question.....

Now, where I was proven wrong, I admitted it..... I notice that you switched it up when you realized your lie would be exposed and tried to reframe your broad statement, but I think most reasonable people can see that lie too

You lie. Par for the course from you.

And I didn't reframe. Please find the sentence where I said "You never admit you are wrong." I'll hang up and wait. You reframed the discussion. It's another tactic from you

Prices consumers pay for a variety of goods and services moved higher than expected in August while jobless claims accelerated, providing challenging economic signals for the Federal Reserve before its meeting next week.

The consumer price index posted a seasonally adjusted 0.4% increase for the month, double the prior month, putting the annual inflation rate at 2.9%, up 0.2 percentage point from the prior month and the highest reading since January. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for respective readings of 0.3% and 2.9%.

For the vital core reading that excludes food and energy, the August gain was 0.3%, putting the 12-month figure at 3.1%, both as forecast. Fed officials consider core to be a better gauge of long-run trends. The central bank’s inflation target is 2%.

Where @RLLD at?! Right up his alley!

“Nine months after Donald Trump took office, promising to reduce prices on “day one”, a clear majority of Americans say their monthly costs have risen by between $100 and $749, according to an exclusive new poll conducted for the Guardian.

The president has continued to insist that there is “virtually no inflation”. “Prices are ‘WAY DOWN’ in the USA,” Trump wrote on social media in late August.

Yet according to a new Harris poll, Americans are still reporting soaring inflation and are increasingly pessimistic about the economy.”

Consumer Price Index has costs up 3% across the board year over year.

Anecdotally, my weekly grocery bill is up at least 10% this year.

Colleague of mine, originally from Minnesota, moved to Sweden in 2018, came back to Minnesota last week, was shocked at how expense everything is now in the states.  He regrets his move back already.

We’ll see how this is actually different now and this administration is correct and the people are wrong.

That would be brutal. Leave pre biden era insanity and then move back after. Must seem so different.

Inflation always occurs. We just don't want ridiculous inflation like what happened in Biden's term.

Actually they were projecting 3.1% inflation and it was only 3.0% inflation, which was a pleasant surprise.

Not saying you, but there are people who were not satisfied with the 3% inflation under Biden, which is why they voted for Trump

A third of trump voters, the economy was their number one reason.

Prices have been down and extremely manageable for normal people

Maybe you should start a liberal-in-need GoFundMe or something.

Hear that America?  The billionaire president who has made $3B this year from corruption doesn't want to hear you cry about how expensive everything is anymore.  Now back to the new ballroom...

The Dems can put this on a loop on every media until Fall 2026.

Everything got worse due to Trump policies after he said he would fix everything on day 1.

It's been almost a year now.  How much longer should we wait?

What are you talking about? LIDL, Aldi, Publix and Harris Teeter all confirmed that their prices are lower than they were a year ago.

Are they lying???

Inflation is much more under control under Trump.

Here was the other choice's plan (begins babbling at 1:47 and then her plan begins at 2:30)

Even if Kamala is as completely clueless about the causes and remedies for inflation as you’re claiming she is, she wouldn’t have imposed the tariffs and for that reason alone we’d be better off than we are now.

@RLLD said the economy was the worst of the lower classes’ lifetime a year ago, but also a few months ago before he disappeared that now it was good.

He also said that Biden fomented inflation by denying it was happening, just like Trump is doing now.

Everything is not worse. Illegals are being purged. Rent is moving the way we want.

You think we care that Day one everything wasnt fixed? Lol thats hilarious.

Things take time and sometimes they get worse before they get better.

Just look at the stupid indian trucker problem. And yes, i mean they are stupid. Like they wear flip flops and cant speak english stupid. They are getting purged from the driver force for being stupid.

This will lead to some higher prices initially. Smart people know this. But we also know this will lead to real wages for drivers increasing. This will also lead to fewer people coming here that are super homogeneous and dont speak english.

This will ultimately lead to less upward pressure on pricing because we have fewer people and will save us money on stupid admin spending for their non english speaking kids.

We also know this will lead to cheaper insurance costs and will save amerdican lives.

None of this stuff happens overnight and Democrats have abused everything for so long.

GDP growth focus has caused brain rot. As long as government spending isnt decoupled from GDP and it doesnt have a per capita component, it shouldnt ever be used as a metric.

Driven by increasing unemployment and decreasing consumer confidence, most likely.

Is there a huge problem with unemployed, super smart truckers, who will work for less?
