Mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis

The Democrats need to accept some blame as the people who made this man think he is a woman, encouraged him to make presidential assassination threats in white-out on his AR-15 magazines, caused him to believe Hamas is a force of good and caused him to hate Catholics, Jews and God generally.

This post is not only horribly wrong it’s in terrible taste.

You sound like Amy Klobuchar.  This guy had a NORMAL rifle (AFAIK), a shotgun, and a handgun.  Which do you want to ban?

Let's be real - If we made it illegal for anyone who identifies as the opposite gender as their biological sex to come anywhere near a gun we'd have at least 50 people still alive just in the last five years and a bunch less of these school/church shootings.  But Tim would never go for that, nor should he.   But ban guns.  Hell yeah, top of Tim's list.

We don’t know about the rifle. Klobuchar wants to ban assault rifles. I go back and forth on that. I would like to find a way to make it more difficult for mentally ill people, and criminals, to own firearms in general.

Yeah we get it Tim.  You have to virtue signal and push measures that won't make a difference every time something bad happens.  That's how your side works.  I'd rather focus on reality and real solutions.

If you can show me statistical evidence that transgender people are more violent than the general population, by percentage, then I would be open to such restrictions. Until then I’m not. Banning guns is not at the top of my list.

You live in a state with some of the strictest gun laws; can't you see that they don't help much?

Crazies and criminals don't care about stricter laws.

I don’t ever virtue signal. If I want to have something done it’s because I think it will help.

It would be unconstitutional to prevent trans people from owning guns.  You SHOULDN'T support that.  And of course banning guns is at the top of your list.  You SAY you're not but that's only because at the moment it's not going to happen.  If there was a serious proposal to do so you'd sign on in a heartbeat.

It convinces me that any such laws would have to be federal. What’s the point of strict laws in California if you can go into Nevada and purchase whatever you want without restriction?

And of course the problem with your question: why have laws at all? We don’t have laws in order to convince bad guys and crazies not to do things; we have laws to make it more difficult for them to do things.

Transwomen follow the same violent crime rate as cisgendered men; regardless of the hormones you're taking and what you have between your legs.

Nobody is isolating restrictions to just trans people, that’s silly. All mentally ill people should be restricted from guns.

Trans terrorism

The Catholic Church shooter today identified as trans.

The Nashville Christian shooter identified as trans.

The Lakewood Church shooter identified as trans.

The Colorado Springs shooter identified as non binary. 🌈

The Denver shooter identified as trans.

The Aberdeen shooter identified as trans.

The Iowa high school shooter was a trans activist.

If you want to argue with me about points I make fine. But if you’re just going to question my integrity you’re wasting your time.

There are people here who believe that trans is a severe mental  illness. I do not. But I DO believe that those with severe  mental illness should be prevented from owning firearms, 2nd Amendment or no. If it could be proved to me that trans is a severe mental illness then I would be in favor of prohibiting them from owning firearms.

I agree. I don’t classify trans as mentally ill however.

How can we enforce keeping mentally ill people from owning guns?

Right.

We keep trying to make it more difficult for criminals, but your party doesn't seem to really want that to happen. I.e Prop 36.

The country needs a deep look at SSRIs

It raises questions about the suspect’s transgender identity and potential mental health issues, including possible use of SSRIs, aligning with a 2019 Kaiser Permanente study in Pediatrics that found transgender and gender-nonconforming youth are 3 to 13 times more likely to be diagnosed with mental health conditions like anxiety and depression compared to cisgender peers, though causation remains unproven and requires further investigation.

What happens is they pass these laws and then selectively enforce them.  Tim doesn't think Adam Schiff and the DEI FED lady should be prosecuted for mortgage fraud despite clear cut evidence that they committed the crime.  He wants to be able to use laws selectively, ignore ones he doesn't believe in like illegal immigration and Dems committing mortgage fraud, but be able to go after his political opponents like Trump.  It's so transparent, and so disgusting.

I disagree. Prop 36 was a bad idea that IMO increases crime.

So you want illegals deported, and Schiff and DEI lady prosecuted?  A simple Yes will suffice.

It doesn't really matter what you think; we voted YES on it.  Almost 70% yes, to be specific.

Last I checked, in our democratic republic if the people vote YES on it, it needs to happen.

If it's just selective, then why bother? Move on to the dictatorship that you all seem to want.

Seeing news reports calling him Robin Westman.

Until this stupidity ends, these things will continue to go on.   This does not help those that need serious help.  It just makes it worse

Now that it has been proven robert/robin is trans, this story will get tucked away like a pen15 on the son of a liberal white woman.

Can you clarify your math here please?

This shooting: 2 victims + shooter

Covenant school: 6 victims + shooter

What others?  And if you say Colorado Springs you are not a serious poster.

Minneapolis Mayor speaks out against hate against transgender community

Three people were killed and 19 others injured after a shooter stormed a Catholic church in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning, unleashing terror on dozens of school children.

Two children, 8 and 10, were killed in the pews they sat in before the attacker turned the gun on herself at the Annunciation Church in south Minneapolis.

The shooter has been identified as Robin Westman, formerly known as Robert. She was a transgender anti-Trump 23-year-old whose mother worked at the school she attacked.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called out transphobia after the Annunciation Church school shooter was identified as transgender woman, 23-year-old Robin Westman.

'I have heard about a whole lot of hate that is being directed at our trans community,' Frey said.

'Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to vilianize our trans community or any other community out there has lost their sense of common humanity. We should not be operating out of a place of hate for anyone.'

He added: 'We should be operating from a place of love. Kids, kids died today. This needs to be about them'

The shooter, who grew up in nearby Richfield, changed her name to Robin in 2020, at the age of 17. The name change petition stated that Westman 'identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification'.

Officials said they are looking into Westman's motive but said she has no extensive known criminal history.

I agree 100% this is about the kids.   And the poor parents and family who lost a child at such a young age to such a horrible act.   Man.   I can't even imagine what they are going through.  Just terrible
