probably neither but i'd be more likely to buy a house where there were murders and just level it and build new. Haunted is probably tied to the land so can't take that chance

Actually there are theories that hauntings and evil spirits are tied to people, not land.

there are hundreds of theories regarding supernatural things, including land.  point being it's possible that a haunting, if you believe in such things, would be tied to something on the land or nearby.  Easier to demolish the murder house and feel comfy living in a new structure at the same address.... for me at least.

I am not someone who believes in hauntings (I also don't shrug off the concept entirely) but obviously there are people who do and others who psychologically will be convinced once you plant the seed, by any little noise they hear or oddity they notice or thing they can't quite remember like they are almost certain they put the toilet seat down, but now it's up! .  If I was someone who believed, I don't think there is anything I could ever do to the house or property to not feel uneasy. 

I would also never live in the actual house where the murder(s) took place. If it's a well known thing, people would constantly be reminding you and asking questions. Who tf wants to walk through their own home and be like yeah, this is the dining room where they found all the bodies. 

So yeah, assuming i'm allowed to buy and then demolish the house, the murder house works for me. 

 

but there is some more information that might be helpful in making a decision. 

For example, is the haunted house haunted by the ghosts of it's 200 year old residents who voted for Biden in 2020? and were the victims in the murder house who were killed in 1988 also Biden voters in 2020?

But no I myself would not move my family into a house like that. It’s a circus enough as it is around my place. No reason to add more fuel to the fire in any way
