This is a trick.

EVERYONE thinks young people are stupid, except the young people. Then they grow up and realize how stupid they were while their kids run amok. Rinse, repeat.

And then they become conservatives when they realize liberals are absurd.   You are 100% correct.

I'm damn near 50, and am less conservative than I was 20 years ago. Are you calling me stupid?

That's a rhetorical question.

Those kids are stupid, maybe not as stupid as taking a completely out-of-context statement and trying to make it have greater meaning, but pretty stupid.

When I hear people suggest that we lower the voting age, I want to club a baby seal.  For all of history going back to the Roman Empire, 21 was the age of adulthood (they had a different name but I can't recall it).  100 years ago in this country you could be 20, married with 3 kids, own a farm or work in the factory, and STILL not vote.  That's because people have realized that young people's brains are not fully developed.

The only reason the age was lowered to 18 is because we lowered the draft age to 18.  Since we aren't drafting any more, I propose we move it back to 21.  An 18 year old today has zero life wisdom and bases everything they believe on their TikTok social feed.

That's a really really strange reaction and I think you are just looking for any excuse to club a baby seal.  I've got my eye on you.

People become more conservative over time. Liberals for the most part realize they are wiser than they were at 19, but when you bring up this point they then claim people are actually wiser at 19. This is actually how liberals operate.

Teach a man how to think and you will have a valuable member of society.

Teach a man what to think and you will have a baby brain liberal who can't think his way out of his mom's basement

Buddy, it’s not me or all these terrible leftists who you can’t persuade - it’s the people you’re voting for. Trump, Vance, Bondi, Patel & Bongino are in on the cover-up. Can’t you see it? Stop limiting your thinking.

Trump's entire election strategy depended on it.

Dude aren’t you on the left on this one? Why are Trump & Bondi protecting Biden, Obama & the Clintons? It’s all being swept under the oval office rug. It’s all one big uniparty. Don’t you know that?

Wait, some people have known about this for years. The same people who knew about pizzagate. But how did they know about this before the corporate media overlords told them about it? Any liberals that can crack that mystery?

Pizzagate and the other claims of pedophilia on the left stemmed from actual emails from Podesta. It's in his emails. Those emails are legit. This isn't some hoax.

This is the full presentation. In May 2014 as California AG Harris was giving a presentation on young people in prison. Her comments are at roughly 17:30.

So she was talking about young criminals.

Whoever created this [supposedly it’s not Rogan] - cropped the 11 year old little seen speech to misrepresent what Harris said & present it as disinformation to viewers of this YT channel.

His baby brain won't get it.

I think the saying You catch more bees with honey than vinegar applies to most situations. Except with liberals. They need to be re educated with a harsh hand.

Generally speaking, when you see that Rogan preface, it wasn't Rogan.   Someone just added it ahead of time.  I see many many videos like that.

No, thats not the point. No one is surprised that given any political insult almost every person would think it came from Trump. It’s part of the brand, maga *loves it, his opponents think it’s disgusting. Telling people it’s Harris is yes amusing & shocking because it’s out of character. Tell them it’s from 14 years ago it’s less shocking, tell them it’s from she wasn’t even in Congress it’s even less do, tell them it’s smack dab in the middle of a 30+ minute speech about young people in prison, it’s completely unsurprising & unfunny.

The point of the clip is to make uninformed people (especially young people) think Harris randomly insulted young people.

I usually have similar views to you and agree with you on most stuff but the difference between 18 and 21 is minimal and I think arguments could be made for 21 year olds being less responsible individuals than even their 18 year old selves.

Also, we have supposedly grown adults that post on this forum who rely on tiktok and twitter/x for their world views.

We actually almost need an age maximum to vote since people seem to get to an age where they are incapable of or refuse to accept new information. Since that will never happen, I doubt we need to be too concerned with brain development on the other end of the spectrum.

 "BUT TRUMP!"

I was just asking how it was out of character for her. Not comparing her to Trump. She's a space cadet and word salad queen, I have no doubts that the Joyful Warrior wasn't intentionally insulting our youth. Trump plays his game (and it's worked well for him). I am not saying Kamala directly insults people very often, I am saying she puts her foot in her mouth very often. Just be more woke than less woke, right?

Sorry, I was talking about the OP, which is specifically how people who hear the quote are supposed to think it’s Trump.

Edit - I think you & I agree on the last part, that was my whole point.

I’ve read your post, & you still haven’t explained how insults are part of Harris’ M.O. - IMO it’s not, the quote is 14 years old.

I don't think saying stupid things is out of character for her, including insults which may be unintentional.

Spot on.

I always liked the idea of only property owners being allowed to vote.

However, I will accept only people who don't still live at home being allowed to vote.

If you're 18 and out living on your own, supporting yourself, you can vote.

If you're 25 and still living at home with Mom & Dad, you are not allowed to vote.
