That’s where you watched that eagles cowboys game you lied about going to.

Something is off there.  Is that re-sale?  @cmh6476 just said he paid $1k for 10 games for season tickets.

Face value tickets offered by the Chiefs are a lot more than I'm paying as a season ticket holder.   The Chiefs don't offload the entire seating capacity to strictly season ticket holders.   My seats are on the 20, 25 rows up in the upper level and I think they are close to $200 each face value.   So I'm saving about half by purchasing the entire season.

I'll be trying to upgrade.   Hopefully dumbazzes unload their tickets cause they are mad about the team wanting to move to Kansas.  Last year there was no option to upgrade as they told me all their season ticket holders renewed their seats.

Yeah, I was thinking it was something like that, when I saw the list he made.  I knew from personal experience that Eagles season ticket prices 30 years ago were only a little bit cheaper than what you're paying now, that's why I was surprised by your number.  Right now, the Eagles range from $2k to $8k, so the cheapest (worst seats), are still double what you're paying.  Not sure single game tickets go for, I've never been to a game at the new stadium (well, not for an Eagles game anyway... I saw 2 Temple games and 1 Villanova game).

I can definitely understand some people getting rid of them, especially if their communte is substantial.  You said they're moving about a half hour further away?  If someone was already traveling 30 to 40 minutes to the current stadium, it may be tough to drive an hour to hour & 15.  Heck, I know a ton of Eagles fans that didn't want to pay those PSL's and gave up their tickets and the new stadium is right around the corner from where the old one was.

I have really good data on this topic, as I'm anal retentive when managing my money and tracking the buying and selling of tickets.

This also leads me to believe, the NFL has their schedule outlined for the most part for the 2026 season and are just holding out on us to milk it as best they can.  Probably a few matchups here and there like season opener depending on Super Bowl winner etc.  But for the Chiefs to invoice me for the games they can offer me (i.e., an international game would not be part of a season ticket package) they have to know how many home games they have and probably which teams they'll play in which months.

As I mentioned, I'm in 303, row 25 and last year my actual cost per ticket ranged from:

Preseason Bears - $25 each

Eagles home opener - $137 each

Ravens, Lions - $118 each

Raiders - $100, Commanders & Broncos - $91, Colts & Texans - $82, Chargers - $73

For 2026...

My invoice total is $400 for parking, telling me I get 10 home games at $40 each ($60 day of purchase).

Then we can expect two preseason games, and the Chiefs have indicated we have the remaining 8 additional home games.

My invoice from the Chiefs is $960 per seat for all 10 games including the preseason.

On stubhub last year, after dumb fees they take out (charging me as seller in addition to the purchaser), I received $324 apiece for the Eagles and $297 for the Lions.  Chargers, who don't travel well and cold in December I received $189 apiece on Stubhub.

I really did it because I was tired of spending about $1k to take my son to games like the AFC Championship.  It's worked out well.  Last year for those seats I was charged $90 each for wild card, $110 each for divisional and $165 for AFC Championship

For most people, the move isn't going to make much difference.  Very few people live in Raytown (current location), just as very few people live right in the area where the new stadium will be built.  From downtown proper it'll be about the same distance to travel, for me it'll shave a few minutes, for some it'll be a little more convenient and for some it'll be a little less convenient.

It really has more to do with Missouri hating Kansas and somewhat vice versa, but I think they're just being babies and when all is said and done they'll still show out for the Chiefs.  People just like to b1tch.

But, if that means some people don't renew and I get to upgrade, I'm all for it

I like being part of large crowds and going to events. I'd probably be down with the NHL if we had a team.  Maybe NBA, but the basketball I actually do follow is close so maybe not.  I looked into season tickets for a new music amphitheater and they told me for what they expect to have 35-40 shows this season it was $15k for two seats.  Holy fock :shocking:

Guess I'll just buy my concerts as one-off's :(

I wait for my boss to give me tickets to Flyers.  His seats are over $200 a piece (5th row behind Flyers [defensive], net).   No way am I paying $100 to get the worst seats in the house.  I'll be perfectly happy dropping $40 for baseball.

Whatever the price, it isn't worth it...

My total cost last year was $4,040.  I "used" (me or someone I know) 11 actual game tickets (out of 40 I had from 10 games) as well as 4 of 10 parking passes and made $5,296 in total sales for a net profit of $1,256. Even sold some of the others I didn't use to friends or people I know at my cost.

How could that not be worth it :dunno:

Kansas City has an ECHL team...  They have been pretty decent the past couple of years...

Yeah it isn't the NHL, but it is still professional hockey and usually much cheaper...

I agree, they can be worth it.  Back in the day, my dad knew a big Redskins fan and a huge Cowboys fan.  We would pay $750 per seat (3), for our 10 games.  My dad sold the Redskins game (and 1 preseason game at face value [had to, or he wouldn't sell them the Redskin game]), for $250 a ticket.  Same with the Cowboys fan, who paid $300 a ticket.  We got back $2100 of our $2250 cost, to go to 6 regular season games.

No team has 100% renewals obviously. Someone dies at the very least. What the Chiefs prefer not to say, and as someone in the business I can tell you and would bet $1 against my last breath, those seats went to their resale partner Tickets for Less rather than to fans or a waitlist. They want to control the secondary, Tickets for Less allows them to do so while acting like brokers are evil. Well, Mahomes and the Hunts invest in Tickets for Less. When you call their number Patrick Mahomes’ voice was the greeter for their hold time!

I dont disagree, but as someone who is already in i don't mind how established the resale market is here.   Probably benefits me as well.   We were also going into the season with a chance of a threepeat, knowing what tickets would likely bring throughout the season.   So very few didn't renew, if they were able to.
