CNN did not run a 40 hour stretch about those lives, they don't matter... ;)

Since you are bringing up BLM, do they have a position on this shooting? Do they have a guide to let us know who's lives mattered in this situation? Any racist words for us today from you perhaps?

Thinking you're a pretentious crybaby ass hole isn't racist Ray. Unless everybody is a racist and you're just a poor wittle victim. :(

I don't have much problem with this but I think we have to be a little bit careful about armed citizens trying to determine when it's ok to use their gun and when it's not in these situations when THEIR life isnt in danger.

Like I don't want a handful of gun-toting Heroes to start shooting at a guy holding up a grocery store or something.

This was obviously a no brainer...but in general im not a big advocate for citizens playing cop.

Do you really want citizens to question if they should help someone in danger in an intense situation because they may get hit with criminal charges or something? No thanks.

Citizen's are taught to not intervene unless someone's life is in imminent danger.

Never to get involved from a LE perspective. It's not our job to stop the Kwikie Mart robber, bank robber, etc.

However, if the perp is threatening people's lives, then yes, we can intervene, but not expected to.

LOL. Yet another fella with "words of wisdom" . So...what's the alternative? What are you saying exactly?

I find it funny how liberals simply repeat things they have heard. Sounds good on the surface, but is nothing more than words. Libs do it all the time. Carry signs. Chant. Walk in groups holding hands. Using simple sentences like "Its for the children", "What about the children?", "What about the innocent?" , "Ban guns", "Can't we all get along in peace and harmony?" These comments will usually garner cheers from their liberal public friends, thumbs up and likes on social media. But...they are nothing more then quote repeaters. Its how they roll. Repeating quotes is easier than thinking.

Let's hear you think on your own. What's the alternative?

Go.

Yeah. He should have analyzed the situation better. Maybe called the cops family and asked "Do you want your husband/dad/ etc to come home tonight, or not so much? And if "yes" , how bad? Just what is your level of love for him? And what is love...how is love defined...."

Nah. No thanks. Just shoot the stupid focking thug, save someone's life. Not a lot of rationalizing or analyzing needed. I guess we can agree to disagree.

God bless the NRA

Another liberal "repeat" comment. LOL. What's your basis? (Yes, this requires thinking, not repeating a cutesy little quote you've heard other libs chant).

The NAACP promotes blacks to burn down buildings and shoot cops. I wonder why and organization like the NAACP would want their folks to be committing murder?

I can GUARANTEE that there are more blacks murdering people than there are NRA members murdering people.

So, lets all call the NAACP and ask them why they are telling their people to commit violent crime.

So now that the facts are on the table, are you going to cry more about the NRA? LOL

I'm saying it's stupid to point to a private gun owner saving a trooper as evidence that gun ownership prevents crime while ignoring the tens of thousands of accidental deaths, suicides, crime and other murders that are enabled by our lax gun laws every year.

A private citizen stopped a crime and that's news? When do we hear about the hundreds of people shot dead yesterday?

Holy christ.....did you not clearly see where i said in THIS situation it was perfectly fine? I said it twice.

Just in general im not a huge fan of citizen hero deciding when to fire if their own life isnt in danger. I want professionals making those calls.

Again...THIS wasnt that situation. Read.

There are going to be gun deaths. That's the way it is. You can't change it. No one can.

But its cool that someone saved a cop in that manner.

I don't know as if there is a big push or or media broadcast that says "private ownership prevents crime". I believe it. There again, I don't consider a street thug to be in the category of "private gun ownership".

One dude saving one person with a gun is a cool story but it's fairly meaningless compared to the hundreds shot dead per day. Most of those guns were bought legally and vanished at one point into the black market thanks to our ridiculously permissive gun laws. Focus on that and maybe we will need fewer private citizens to play hero. In the meantime spare me the bullsh1t about how concealed carry saves lives.

"Hundreds" of people weren't shot dead yesterday. Except maybe in Chicago but that's a gun free city so not sure how that's happening.

Your stats are nonsense: the CDC counts more than 11,000 gun homicides in the US per year. Along with another 21,000+ suicides and almost 1,000 accidental gun deaths.

But at least that guy saved a trooper!

Sorry: 11,000 gun homicides per year or so. No idea how many were shot dead yesterday.
