Buffett the person has made the vast majority of his wealth by investing, buy and hold. He showed again he’s the best moving money in late 2024 and early 2025. Politically speaking it is definitely shrewd to take advantage of the fact that many manufacturing jobs have left. Politicians have been talking about this for decades. It’s reality that these jobs aren’t coming back, people are not going to be working on assembly lines like they did in the 70’s. The border and trans in sports are easy pickings. The Dems have left themselves totally vulnerable there, they have no one to blame but themselves. Carnival barker Don is shrewd enough to lean into that. If he keeps up the tariff war - he won’t it will be done by late summer - but say he does, these issues are all we will hear about because the economy will be hosed.

A liberal's wet dream hooking up with that thing. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trans-inmate-who-killed-baby-identifies-muslim-woman-sues-chaplain-allegedly-not-allowing-hijab Inmate who killed stepdaughter in 2001 now identifies as an 'Islamic practicing transwoman' A transgender inmate serving a 55-year sentence for strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death filed a civil lawsuit against the prison chaplain for allegedly prohibiting him from wearing a hijab outside his immediate bed quarters, despite identifying as a Muslim woman. Autumn Cordellionè, also known as Jonathan C. Richardson, is currently serving out his sentence at the Branchville Correctional Facility, an Indiana Department of Correction state prison for men. According to the lawsuit filed Nov. 30 and obtained by Fox News Digital, a prison chaplain told Richardson the hijab was not allowed to be worn outside his immediate bed area. Richardson is seeking $150,000 in damages and the ability to wear the hijab "anywhere I go within the facility." "I informed him that I wear the hajib [sic] in order to cover my head and ears for modesty purposes, as I am an Islamic practicing transwoman," Richardson said in the lawsuit.

Trump's health agency urges therapy for transgender youth, not broader gender-affirming health care
kilroy69 posted a topic in The Geek Club
Trump's health agency urges therapy for transgender youth, not broader gender-affirming health care 20 years from now we will look back at this phase and wonder why it took so long for people to step up and question what was going on. I have said it for years that it is an emperor has no clothing situation. It just took people to finally speak up and say this is bullshittt for everyone else to wake up to it also. This has been an epidemic of kids being misdiagnosed as trans when it should be acknowledge that it is a mental illness and that treatment like therapy is going to help them more than cutting off their junk and calling themselves sarah. -

The reason you think they’re wrong is because you’re grossed out by trans people. That’s it, that’s the whole of your “science”: you’re grossed out by them and you’re afraid of them. Why not admit it? -

The other day I wrote that I would be posting a lot less in this forum and that remains true UNLESS anyone wants to engage in some serious discussion with me: you know the kind where you offer ideas and mean them, no trolling, and you’re prepared to back up your arguments. The kind where you try to avoid name calling and gratuitous remarks. If nobody wants to do that, I get it, that’s fine. Stay out of this thread and I’ll stay out of yours. If you do come into this thread looking to troll me I can’t stop you but don’t look for me to respond. As for anyone who wants to have deeper, thoughtful discussions, let’s have a clean slate. I’ll respond to everyone who seriously wants to engage with me: you don’t remember my past comments and I won’t recall yours either. We’ll start over; how’s that? I am a liberal and I know most of you are conservatives but that’s no reason we can’t engage in fruitful, respectful discussion. I am interested n the following topics: the Presidential election, Trump’s legal problems; Biden’s legal problems, abortion; climate change, inflation and the economy, gun control, race relations; the border and undocumented immigration, gay and trans issues, Ukraine and NATO, Israel and Palestine, the House and Senate races, all in no particular order. I want to discuss this stuff with serious people who disagree with me. If you’re not one of those, then no worries. We don’t need to talk any further.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/social-media-explodes-sanders-hosting-trans-musician-who-sang-pure-evil-song-anti-trump-rally Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' anti-Trump, anti-oligarch tour of the U.S. is under fire for hosting a transgender singer who performed a song with lyrics described as "pure evil," and mocking God and Jesus. "The song specifically attacks Christianity with mentions of Easter and God’s son," Conservative activist Robby Starbuck posted to X over the weekend. Sanders is in the midst of a "Fighting Oligarchy" tour in areas of the country where the 2024 race proved competitive for Democrats, including in battleground states such as Wisconsin and Michigan. The self-described Democratic socialist senator traveled to Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Friday and was joined by transgender singer Laura Jane Grace, who performed an anti-Christian song on stage before Sanders thanked the musician for performing. Critics and conservatives slammed Sanders and the musician for the performance of the song on social media, including taking issue with the Vermont senator for personally thanking the singer in his remarks during the event. "Wow. AFTER the anti-Christian ‘performance’ at his event, @BernieSanders thanked the trans singer that performed this hateful, evil song," Starbuck posted in another X post. "If he attempts to apologize, just know his first instinct was to thank the singer after he sang it." Fox News Digital reached out to Sanders' office and the musician's publicity team for comment on the performance and subsequent outrage but did not immediately receive responses. Sanders delivered a response speech to President Donald Trump's address to a joint session of Congress on March 4, when he railed that the U.S. has become an "oligarchic society" under the Trump administration. "The Trump administration is not hiding it," Sanders said in a streamed response to Trump's address. "The Trump administration is a government of the billionaire class by the billionaire class, and for the billionaire class. Notwithstanding some of their rhetoric, this is a government that could care less about ordinary Americans and the working families of our country. My friends, we are no longer moving toward oligarchy. We are living in an oligarchic society."

I suspect Donald will lean hard into this, trans in sports, and the border. He can’t talk about the number one issue for people, the economy, because he’s focked it all up. If things don’t turn around by midterms (I hope they do) these are all we will hear about 24/7. -

Depending on where you work, you can still get fired for being gay or transgender. Under U.S. law, religious organizations are basically exempt from protections baked into the Civil Rights Act. Sometimes called the “ministerial exception,” it bars ministers from suing for discrimination. According to Evansville attorney Erin Borcherding Bauer, with Barber & Bauer LLP, Monday’s decision won’t do anything to overturn that. Gorsuch’s opinion made that clear, she said. The Trans-Pacific-Partnership was dedicated to creating a free trade zone with the nations surrounding China. If someone wanted no tariffs they'd start by supporting that. By the way it still happened, just without the US.
