Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Doubled the standard deduction making the first $24,000 earned by a married couple completely tax-free. Doubled the child tax credit. Cut the business tax rate from 35 percent – the highest in the developed world – all the way down to 21 percent. Small businesses allowed deduct 20 percent of their business income. Businesses allowed deduct 100 percent of the cost of their capital investments in the year the investment is made. Over $1.5 trillion was repatriated into the United States from overseas. Created nearly 9,000 Opportunity Zones where capital gains on long-term investments are taxed at zero.Approximately 1 million Americans will be lifted from poverty as a result of these new investments. Immediately withdrew from the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Ended the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and replaced it with the brand new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Returned 56 hostages and detainees from more than 24 countries. Withdrew from the horrible, one-sided Iran Nuclear Deal and imposed crippling sanctions on the Iranian Regime. This is misleading. Generally speaking, polls about banning nearly anything will show a majority of people don’t like total bans. There a bigly number of polls that say a majority of people don’t buy into the trans ideology. They don’t think you can change your gender and they don’t want this garbage in schools. Bans on procedures vs acceptance of trans ideology are two entirely different things. -

They just don’t get it. They’re going with this tranny thing. I doubt the Trump people are stupid enough to spend a lot of time on it. If they are it will be awful for them. Far better to keep it in the dregs of the internet (like here.) And @Patented Phil completely misunderstands what happened in Virginia with Youngkin. That was parents being angry- but not with trans or any other woke issue. They were angry about Covid keeping their kids out of school prior to the vaccines. Once the kids were back in school the anger faded. Conservatives have always assumed this was about ALL the liberal issues like CRT and transgenders. But most people couldn’t tell you what CRT is and don’t give a sh!t about transgenders. -

You keep bringing up Virginia. It’s a terrible analogy for several reasons: 1. Voting for a school board or any local politician, or even a governor, has completely different priorities than voting for President. When it comes to voting for President, the issue of trannies, or any woke issue for that matter, is so far down the list of priorities that it’s usually not even mentioned. 2. You misjudge the public attitude on this issue anyhow. 60% of the public don’t want the government getting involved. That means they don’t want you making trans surgeries illegal for minors. They don’t want you making restrictions. They want you to stay the hell out of it. -

The bolded did not mean what you interpreted. By "legislate" I meant "allow" all trans in all women's spaces because of these rare anomalies. Your link states that the default for the IOC is to allow it, but that each sport governing body should evaluate each case for safety and fairness. They state that the experts in each sport should make that call. I agree with this approach. Unfortunately, since they removed the IBA, it does not appear that they had any such experts to make such evaluations, so they just stuck with the default. It would appear that their process didn't work in this case.

Seriously, this is kind of messed up. She was born with girly parts but has boy biology, for which she likely had to take medications to suppress to compete as a woman and meet IOC biological standards. She's not a tranny, but biologically without medications tests as a man. I go back to the shallow thread about trans being a mental illness, and here we are instead arguing about the biology and anatomy. What this does is put a lot of the mental-illness perspective and and an argument to bed, because unless there is some science to the contrary, I don't believe you can think your way to hormonal and chromosomal bodily changes. Which is all the more reason to understand and be empathetic about Peefoam being a woman trapped in a man's body. Let's join together and celebrate our differences! Love wins! **HEARTS4EVER**

Based on multiple pictures being shared online, she was raised her whole life as a girl. Living in Algeria which apparently does not allow trans treatment I’d think it would be hard to hide if she had a d1ck. None of her opponents have claimed that either, and the woman who beat her in the 2022 world finals didn’t think she’s done anything wrong. If she did not meet testing requirements, I am fine with her being DQ’d. But that doesn’t mean she’s a man which is the main issue I have with the outrage over this. But alas she did meet the requirements for the Olympics. As far as I can tell she has only been DQ’d from one event in her career (by a Russian-run organization shortly after defeating a Russian) , and that organization has been stripped of its governing power. For someone that accuses me of arguing semantics Jerry, your last paragraph reeks of semantics. Obviously the implication of someone having a (natural) vagina is that they also have the other internal body parts that would enable her to get pregnant.

I don’t read Twitter. And anyhow maybe the actors got that wrong or created that comparison themselves. It certainly doesn’t appear to be what the designer intended. And I know you think Jolly, the designer, is a liar. But if so it’s a very believable lie, because it really did look like the classical depictions of Bacchus (Dionysus) celebrations, even more than it looks like the Last Supper. And that would also fit with the gay and trans themes. So to me that explanation is extremely plausible- but hey what do I know? I’m just a “feelings” guy right? Not a logical bone in my body. -

For those who have been wondering for the last 14 years how this worked out. A settlement for the discrimination claim with the restaurant was made after both parties agreed to mediation. According to a link I can't access (Glouchester Times) The city's Licensing Board chose to issue a warning to the restaurant over the incident. Yeah, the only time a DA does actual trial prosecution is important trials like when a father is arrested for misdemeanor disorderly conduct at a school board meeting after the superintendent lies about your daughter being raped in a school bathroom by a trans student.

Medical experts acknowledge that there are an astounding number of mental health comorbidities associated with trans people. You of course think that this is because some people are mean to them sometimes, but the experts don't say that. Also, if your brain thinks you are a different sex than your body, that is a mental health issue. We as a society merely have decided not to call it that, because it has negative connotations. -

I simply disagreed with your statement that the soldiers could not have conceived of trans- they could have if they had bothered because of its prevalence in the Western Europe of the 1920s. I think there was a principle involved, the principle that Eisenhower tried to explain when he addressed the soldiers before the invasion. Of course Ike didn’t mention the freedom to be trans, nor was he thinking about it, nor were the men thinking about it. My point is that the principle Ike DID mention, the right of all men to be free, encapsulates freedoms that we don’t think much about. So when an idiot like @Hardcore troubadour asserts that these men would have turned around, he is insulting their memory and attacking the United States which sent them there. -
