Allows the removal of trans- identified child from catholic home. The parents refuse to recognize their trans child sons self-declared. Good for them. Pray for strength for this couple, and this situation. Amen.

My question is why?? I have taught for 30yrs....its never come up. No one asks...no one even thinks about it. We have a few transformers but...they are just attention seekers...id be more concerned if they learned how to read an analog clock or use proper english...and on a side note....the freaks, geeks and trans...are the most well read (they read for fun) easiest to converse with...and have the best handwriting. Yeah...they have some issues but at least they think and have cognitive thoughts. -
Well, I think I speak for everyone when I say it’s about time. We have a long way to go though, because we don’t have separate areas and stadiums for our trans friends much less a black only arena because by God we need to have everything segregated because of liberals.

What a flaming piece of hot garbage. This is on par with “Trans awareness day” to remember the violence against trans people, which would be almost not existent, if you eliminated violence from other members of the alphabet mafia. Can we get some awareness for the demographic that commits suicide more than any other per capita? Oh, and I guess the narrative that bigoted violence killed this kid went away pretty quick.

You know I was kind of kidding about this but I looked it up on Goodreads and now I’m interested. I’m a huge fan of graphic novels and this looks like a good an important one. It’s so important right now to fight back against the anti-trans bigotry- too many kids continue to kill themselves because of the bullying and lack of acceptance. Based on the description this book should be required reading in our public schools. So I’m looking forward to it. Thanks for the recommendation! -
at your last sentence. So say you are... Dave Rubin. Gay guy, seems to agree with what I posted from their website. Might he be the type of person who joins the organization? On a related note, and I don't want to sidetrack this thread with more trans talk, but I suspect that a lot of the kids falling under the spell of the trans social contagion are confused gay kids. I further suspect that a lot of gay adults think "dang, thank goodness that wasn't going on when I was a kid." I further further suspect that a lot of gay adults are not thrilled to have the trans and 46 (or however many at last count) gender stuff under the same umbrella as them. So to me, it is totally believable that a lot of gay people would be in support of this movement.

People with true severe gender dysphoria are probably helping themselves. Others, aren't. To think that you are a different sex than you are is, for lack of a better phrase, a psychological abnormality. "Reversible" is incorrect. The drugs work for the time they are used. If puberty blockers are used for 2 years, you cannot get that time back. You can stop taking them and whatever is left of your pubescence process will continue, but whatever you've lost in development for those two years is lost forever. So if you are a man, you might have a tiny/micropenis, tiny testicles which generate no sperm or testosterone, etc. The trans community intentionally obfuscates this to make it sound better than it is. -

Social media is certainly part of the problem. I hate it. But the other part, which you deny, is the hatred against Latinos being nurtured by Donald Trump in his rhetoric about undocumented immigrants. I had to look up who Riley Gaines was. Such stories don’t interest me. I don’t believe that biological males should compete in girls sports but it’s such a minor issue that I tend to ignore the headlines about it. iMO the only reason that most conservatives make a big deal about it is so they can continue their obsessive anti-trans harassment which is pretty ugly. Even so if she’s been threatened that’s wrong. -

Thanks Tim, I appreciate the good discussion. I find your link to be completely in sync with my "claim" or position. I feel like I've been consistent with it and stated it multiple times, but in the interest of further good discussion, I'll repeat it yet again. I believe that gender dysphoria exists, but is very rare. Until recently, remedies like hormones or surgery were reserved for extreme, severe cases. What changed is that it has become a social contagion, enabled by the psychiatric community. Every single country in your link, every one, is in some stage of increasing restrictions, limiting care to extreme cases, requiring multidisciplinary teams to diagnose cases, etc. One of many examples: You refuse to even consider the existence of this contagion, and the associated lack of rigor by the medical community. Yet if you read your link through this lens, it is clear that that is exactly what is being addressed. Perhaps stated another way: if you do not believe it, then what issue do you think they are addressing with these restrictions? If we could revert to a time where such rigor was implemented, I would be much more open to discussion of medical intervention for minors in extreme cases. Or in other words, deferring to the experts. But when those "experts" think such interventions are needed for anyone who feels trans, I will consider them idiot quacks who are caught up in a social movement, not experts. HTH -
