SUXBNME 1,359 Posted May 4, 2006 Congrats dood Now be prepared to spend every spare moment for the next 5 years fixing it up. It doesn't matter if there is nothing wrong with it, you will find something. Trust me, you WILL find something, even if it is an imaginary problem, you will find it and manliness will force you to fix it. Go to the local homestore and cleanout their supply of duct tape. It will save you much time in the future. Good luck

thedanzone 2 Posted May 4, 2006 I find it funny that one of the first things you mention is the pocket doors as if they made the decision for you. I had four in my home and got rid of them all.

One thing I forgot to mention... You will never actually FINISH a project...You will get about 75% done, then find something else that demands your attention, start that project, get 75% done, etc..etc.. Things all manly men MUST purchase for home work: 1) Compound miter saw w/ 12" blade (great for base and crown) 2) Pneumatic nail / brad gun 3) air compressor 4) Cordless Drill, recepricating saw, circular saw, light combo pack 5) Tile saw (optional) 6) laser level like this 7) Beer
