It will do fine locally, but why make a movie about a football team with no national appeal at all? It opens Aug 25th, along with nothing. I expect it to finish 3rd, behind "Beerfest" and "How to eat fried worms". Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

The Eagles have been in the national spotlight, the Dolphins are but a distant memory. Except for Ricky getting tossed off the team, nobody hears anything about them. Eagles have a pretty sizeable national following. Not first tier like the Raiders, Cowboys or Giants, but I'd guess they're among the Top 10 so far as the number of fans. Either way "Invinceable" should do pretty well because of Mark Wahlberg and because it's an underdog sports movie and people never seem to get tired of that.
