I think the Lakers and Dr. Buss are fine with Kobe's loyalty. He's still a member of their team, unlike Shaq. Who do you think Dr. Buss would call more loyal, Kobe or Shaq? As far as your references to other players, how ridiculous. Most of those players left their teams at the end of their careers as mercenaries, looking to complement some rising superstars to get a ring. Oftentimes it was with the blessing of the team they made their name with, which was now in rebuilding mode.
