Brown Eyed Girl 1 Posted December 20, 2007 I'm thinking to rent some good movies to watch next week when I'll be around the house. Any good rental recommendations out there? - Comedies would be good. - Feel good movies - No, not pron. - Suspense is always good too. TIA
Juggernauts 0 Posted December 20, 2007 - Feel good movies - No, not pron. TIA Well, if you're not going to be open minded, then nevermind!

phillybear 365 Posted December 20, 2007 I thought Hot Fuzz was a very interesting comedy. If you don't mind English accents. This film was from the same people who did Shaun of the Dead.

naomi 350 Posted December 20, 2007 If you've never seen Kate and Leopold, it's a really good one as far as romantic comedy goes. Not necessarily feel good, but The Fountain is interesting. The Darwin Awards
naomi 350 Posted December 20, 2007 Forgot about , semi new release, really good (true for the most part) story, (and the main actor is kind of hot )

KingofBeer 0 Posted December 20, 2007 Pan's Labyrinth is a part fairytale movie that received 5 stars from almost every critic. Definitely a feel good movie that will leave you all smiles at the end.
phillybear 365 Posted December 20, 2007 Pan's Labyrinth is a part fairytale movie that received 5 stars from almost every critic. Definitely a feel good movie that will leave you all smiles at the end. I have to vehemently disagree. I watched this about 2 weeks ago. I HATED this movie. Hated. Hated. Hated. The subtitles didn't bother me. But the acting, dialogue, characters, effects were awful. I hated every single character in the movie. The ending was stupid and pointless. The movie just sort of ends. No payoff whatsoever. Words can't describe how badly I wanted every single character to die. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid movie. Easily one the worst movies I have ever seen. Spergon Wynn 0 Posted December 20, 2007 I'll come in from left field and suggest a PG rated animated movie. I still haven't seen a movie this year better than Hoodwinked. I dare you to watch it and not be totally entertained. It's hilarious, suspenseful, and intelligent. And it will be in stock wherever you want to rent movies. another review here
RicemanX 20 Posted December 20, 2007 The Kingdom was amazing. Eastern Promises was a different type of suspense.

I heard so much about it that when it came on skinamax or hbo or one of the other movie channels I figured I would give it a chance. The only reason I even finished watching it was because I had already invested the time to watch half of it and figured it had to get better. It did not. It reminds me of of another movie that I got sucked into watching that all the critics were raving about. The English Patient. That was THE WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME. I am not kidding. Im talking worse than santa claus vs the martians.

SUXBNME 1,362 Posted December 20, 2007 Milo and Otis If you want to watch a heartwarming but sad movie then Grumpy Old Men - The directors cut (It's totally different then the original. It made me get misty eyed for some reason)

Great film Also, a couple other excellent British films are Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Both by Guy Ritchie and are very clever, funny and exciting!
