Ever wanted to try Crystal Meth?

Think again.

They say it's the most addictive drug there is. Even if you try it once, you're hooked.

I tried it once in high school. My friend's whacky girlfriend that he met while he was in the navy brought some back from San Diego. I thought it sucked. My jaw was wired for about 8 hours. I tried to sleep before going to work and needless to say didn't catch a wink. I think speed like drugs just aren't for me. :pointstosky:

I always thought that Ecstacy sounded like a cool drug to take when you were out in a club. Unfortunately (or fortunately, perhaps) "E" wasn't popular when I was out clubbing. I heard about it when I was in my thirties and married.

Anyone hear about that "new" drug in the news the last couple of days....not yet illegal?

Miami, Florida (AHN) -- Parents beware: If you hear your children talking about buying or taking something that sounds like Sally-D, Magic Mint or Diviner's Sage, don't think twice about calling the cops.

It's not an after-dinner mint or flavorful herb -- salvia is a hallucinogen that gives users an out-of-body sense of traveling through time and space or merging with inanimate objects. But unlike hallucinogens like LSD or PCP, salvia's effects last for a shorter time, generally up to an hour.

Native to Mexico and still grown there, Salvia divinorum is generally smoked but can also be chewed or made into a tea and drunk. The plant has been proven to impair judgment and the ability to drive.

This inexpensive and easy-to-obtain plant is feared as the next marijuana. Salvia's short-lasting effects and the fact that it is currently legal may make it seem more appealing to teens.

Bills to ban or regulate salvia are being considered in many other states, including Alabama, Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Wyoming and Wisconsin. On Feb. 11, the New York Senate passed a bill prohibiting the sale of salvia.

Sixteen others, including Florida, are considering a ban. State Rep. Mary Brandenburg has introduced a bill to make possession of salvia a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

An ounce of salvia leaves sells for around $30 on the Internet. A liquid extract from the plant, salvinorin A, is also sold in various strengths labeled "5x" through "60x."

A gram of the 5x strength, about the weight of a plastic pen cap, is about $12 while 60x strength is around $65.

For added kicks, the extract comes in flavors including apple, strawberry and spearmint.

Ecstacy *IS* a great drug and not addictive.

Meth is an entirely different thing.

About twenty years ago, I used to do stuff that we called "Crank". It was a powder (although a bit 'wetter') that was sniffed up the nose. It was like coke times ten. A blast around 6:00 PM would last for hours. Stopped doing it because it had a horrible taste/scent and after a few months of doing it on weekends, my nose started bleeding alot.

Don't really hear much about crank anymore. Does it have a different street name or did it just disappear?

Haven't heard that word for a while.

Everything is Meth, pain pills and Heroin now. It's real cheap and really addicting.

Those kinds of drugs are for people to wimpy and impatient to drink.

they used to say that about crack too. I'm afraid to try meth due to what its made from. sick stuff in there.

I tried the crack when it first became public enemy #1. not that big of a deal. I would rather snort it.

I did it once when it was legal.

It's a nice, mellow high that doesn't last longer than you want it to.

It's not good if you're around people who already are chatty, because they get even more chatty and kill you buzz with incessant talking.

Crank” is slang for a low purity, crystallized Methamphetamine that is administered in a powder form.

I actually just picked some up and will be trying it this weekend. I had heard about it for some time and just never got into it because I always had weed around.

A friend of mine was a meth user about 10 or so years ago. He said that it started one night when he was out with his cousin drinking, getting tired, and his cousin was like, "Try this..." it extended the drunkeness, and also made him more awake. Once a week turned into every weekend, then almost every day in a matter of a few months. VERY addicting. He said that he would be awake for literally DAYS at a time, then sleep for days at a time.

He used for about two years, then realized that his life couldn't go on like this, he'd end up in prison, or dead. So, he gave his mom his keys, locked himself in his room and told her, "No matter what I say or do, don't let me leave, and don't let any of my friends call or come over." He detoxed by himself, never entered a rehab and hasn't used since.

I have never even smoked pot, let alone meth or crack. In HS, the majority of my friends did "crank" to the point that before we'd go out on the weekends, there would be small baggies of the stuff EVERYWHERE. For whatever reason, I never partook, even when they'd hotbox a room in the back of the house, etc. Just didn't interest me. Thinking back, I think I dated a guy once who used to deal "crank". He told me one night (knowing that I didn't do drugs) "There is some stuff in here that you need to just pretend isn't there." I have no idea how much was there, but I stopped seeing him shortly after that.

Anyways, the new drugs that kids do out there are so scary...and their access is SO easy! Doctors hand out Xanax, Ativan and Vallium like it's candy, let alone Ritaline and all of those. Vicoden, too. You can get Vicoden if you claim to have bad headaches. Hubby got some cough syrup with codiene once for a bad flu. I mean, doctors push the meds, kids get a hold of them and sell them at school.

Sad and scary.

I had a friend that was prescribed Ritaline pretty much his entire life. He ended up crushing it and snorting it with all his friends. Not so much me because I have a strict policy of not putting anything up my nose.

One time in the lunch room at high school, some people convinced this genius to snort a pile of powder from the white powdered donuts that comes in a pack of 6. Funniest thing I've seen. He said it burned like hell.

Never done Meth. I've seen what they use to make that stuff.

I've seen my Uncle and Cousin do crank one night....and neither of them were the same guy for the next day.

I've smoked my share of the herb. No doubt.

Don't do it anymore because it makes me lazy and self-conscious (lazy...ok...self conscious sucks).

I did E once at a summer party. Didn't like the up and down, up and down. Rollin ain't for me.

never done anything else. Had no interest in shrooms, coke, acid, you name it.

I have a hard enough time with booze to get into another vice/addiction.

Its not going to make you more of an Attention Whoare, if thats what you are worried about. That might not be medically possible anyway.

Is there a reason that you feel the need to stalk me? It seems that when you post here, it's always either a response to one of my posts, or it's a random dig on me in a random thread.

It's not making YOU look like that great of a person, I mean...what kind of suckass follows the attention ho around the bored?

3) and now you are not okay with that.

I am okay with you commenting on what I posted, but using just the fact that I posted SOMETHING as a need to continue to stalk me and just be plain MEAN and rude is kinda sh!tty, IMO.

You sitting there calling my posts retarded and telling me just to fock off really kind of proves my point.

Why don't YOU shut the fuck up, and just not respond to my retarded attention ho posts? YOU are the one who seems to have so much of a problem with me that you can't just IGNORE me. Sheesh.

Here's another 20 or so links. http://www.soacor.com/D/Ecstasy_2.html

also:

it does have a mental addicton, I will grant you that. the addiction we are discussing in this thread, is the kind you MUST do it at all costs. Not wanting to do it to have fun some night.

It's the only drug I know that a lot of people do and they do it on the weekend, when it doesn't interfere with work and it's not something you have to do, it's something you like to do.

Even people I know that smoke weed, do it ALL the time, every single day and many times a day.

While deaths due to Ecstasy overdose is rare, it does kill young kids that think it is harmless. Without going to the web for back-up, I had heard that an overdose could clean out the brain of the chemical compounds that let a person feel emotion and that they would never come back. Can you imagine not being able to feel joy for the rest of your "life"?
