Green Bay Coach and GM

Recommended Posts

That and 75 cents will get you a cup of coffee, good sir :dunno:

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Very, very, very small consolation for a very talented Minn. team that was only a quarterback away from their first Super Bowl victory in their history.....

They're still looking for that quarterback :dunno:

I will take the Packers moving forward with their "Dumb & Dumber"..... thank you very much

I will take the Pack moving forward too. I got what I wanted out of this season. He walked into Ted's House and destroyed him. The sad thing is, if Brett plays again next year, he will likely make it 4 in a row vs. the Pack.

Lambeau is not Ted's house, he is only the GM.

The biggest hypocrites in all of this are those fudgepacker fans that have been burying Favre, and that is a majority of them. Funeral for Favre; calling him all kinds of names....love it. This whole Favre saga exposed

a) Favre to be the prima donna, selfish ###### I and many non-Packer fans called him to be all these years

 Exposed most packer fans to be classless pricks that most non-Packer fans have thought them to be for a long time now AND

c) Favre took a lot of shots and shiat on the fudgepacker fans all year long (Eg: " This is the most talented team I have ever played on").

d) Oh, and it exposed the fudgepackers management to be dumb and dumber....instead of extending Rodgers and spending draft picks on players to help them win with Favre, they burnt their bridge and tarnished the legacy of their most beloved child and in the process, got spanked and embarassed head to head by him twice. And spent draft picks on busts like Brian Brohm instead of surrounding Favre with real talent.

Win-win situation....and Thank God Favre and Vikings did not get to the SB. What a great season!!! Silver lining on the cake: BTW Bears actually beat Favre and the Vikings unlike Rodgers and the over-rated packers, who's #2 D gave up 51....I repeat 51 points in the playoffs. :music_guitarred:

As for all hate Favre now? You are completely wrong...as usual.

Most still respect him...

No, you are the one who is wrong as always. Go to this fudgepacker website where they are killing him (BTW TOG = The Other Guy = Favre). This is the fudgepacker fans refusing to call their own lover boy by his name because he is no longer part of the franchise that he brought back to the map. Go read some of the threads in there and then come back to me. That forum shows exactly how classless the fudgepacker fans are and shows that green bay is nothing more than goober town full of hillbillies....facts we have known for years.

Packer fan here. Most true Packer fans are fans of the team, not a player that used to play for them. I loved Favre but I was a Packer fan long before he got there. That being said, I respect him and wish him no ill-will. The fact that he went to play for our hated rival bothers me but we may never know his reasons for wanting to stick it to the Packers, valid or not.

I thought Favre played fantastic this year. He also was a true warrior in that game last night. The vikings did not lose the game because of Favre. They lost as a team, making too many turnovers. Any Packer fan should not be bashing him for leaving because I don't think we truly Know what happened in Green Bay. I felt the Packers made a mistake when letting him go but I think I was proven wrong with how well Rodgers has played.

I know one thing. if he comes back and plays next year (which I think he will) the vikings will be the favorites to win the superbowl. I would never doubt him. He proved he is still one of the best QB's in the league. As a Packer fan I hope he retires because the vikings will not be close to the same team without him.

ahhhh....no ....

Regroup and try it again....

You are ragging on the Vikings and the Packers for having a 12-4/11-5 season and losing in the playoffs when your Bears have registered 6 winning seasons over the last 18 seasons including another painful-to-watch disastrous losing season this year???

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Is that really icing on the cake? Does it really make you happy when the Vikings/Packers once again have successful seasons and your Chicago Lions haven't sniffed any success since Reagan was in office?

Glory Days!

The premise of this thread was that the Packers were "Dumb and Dumber" because they stuck with Rodgers....

Rodgers had another monster season and is only getting better and better and Favre just ended the Vikings season (and probably his career) with a bonehead interception.

How is this a successful thread?

Favre screwed the Vikings over; he didn't hold back the Packers rebuilding and now the Packers -- who have had only 2 losing seasons out of the last 18 (unlike your Chicago Lions; who have had 12) are set for another long stretch of success!

That seem like smart and smarter to me....

Dumb and Dumber is what's going on with the Chicago Lions.... Their future was completely mortgaged to get a quarterback that sucks donkey ballz.... and while Cutler is probably the greatest QB in the history of the Chicago Lions, he doesn't sniff Favre's or Rodgers jock....

Packers are set for the next decade.. Bears and Tavaris-led Vikes are screwed for the next decade....

Thread = Tremendous fail! :pointstosky:

spanked repeatedly in your cherry-picked years = 7-5

That's barely over .500 :pointstosky:

I guess 7-5 is a braggable accomplishment when da poor Bears were 3-20 against da Pack in the 23 games leading up to that....

Your first point about a majority burying him is false (like most of your claims).

You take a radio prank when they were about to play calling it typical of teh fanbase...false as usual.

Your B point is hilarious consider you are proving over and over again to be the only classless ###### of the bunch.

D...how so? They have a great young QB...traded Favre, used that pick to trade up for Clay Matthews. Wow...spent a draft pick on a backup QB rather than drafting talent for a QB who just told them he was staying retired.

Talk about dumb...you advocate drafting players to surround a guy who just retired and told them again right before the draft he was staying retired?

ARe you seriously that focking retarded?

Win win? Not for Bears fans and their sub-.500 record and 0-2 vs. the Packers this year.

meanwhile traded 2 drafts full of first day picks on a QB who led the league in INTs.

Bears actually beat FAvre? Great...the Packers actually beat the Bears...yes...with that Rodgers guy.

What a freaking moron you are.

How is this a successful thread?

Favre screwed the Vikings over

Wow....what a moron. Getting the team to their first NFCC game since 98 is screwing them over? How? Sure his int cost them the game but so did the 6 fumbles that he had nothing to do with. Oh, and he embarassed the fudgepackers and their fans twice. Facts are coming off a NFCC game, the fudgepackers went with Arodg over Favre and got a 6-10 season, while Favre led his team to a 8-8 season despite his injuries. The next year they got a 51 point embarassment in the 1st round of the playoffs while Favre got his team to the NFCC and were one OT coin loss away from the SB.

The premise of this thread stands. Fudgepackers could have extended Rodgers and gone with Favre and been much more successful likely. Facts are the Vikings would not win the div this year even if Favre was rotting on the packers bench.

But keep trying....

2 1st rounders and one 3rd rounder = 2 drafts full of first day picks? Yup, you are the moron here.

Oh, and the Bears got a QB who had a 4000+ yards and 25+ TDs....and this was despite OL issues, no experience at WR and no running game because Forte was hurt (he had arthroscopic surgery immediately after the season); despite the ints (which he will cut down on), he is easily a top 10 QB in this league and I have no problem with Cutler as my QB for the next decade. Oh and the 5th rounder we got from Denver was used for Johny Knox, who was pretty good as a rookie WR and just made the pro bowl as a kick returner too.

But you keep showing us how big of a homer and moron you are ....

Sorry...I guess they lost their 2nd rounders in a diferent move.

Either way...wow...400 yards and 25 TDs...and how many INTs?

OL issues? Rodgers was sacked 51 times...and the Oline was pretty poor at times last year too. Did not stop him.

But keep making excuses.

BTW...Forte is not all that good, your line will still suck next year, and you still don't have any WRs.

So what will the excuse be next year for Cutler?

But for you to call someone else a homer or moron after that rant...priceless.

Bears are light years away from being any good imo. They have a head coach that is clueless, a quarterback who is arrogant and uncoachable, no offensive line, no playmakers anywhere on the field, and very few draft picks. This team, without free agency, has no chance to be good for a long time.

So why are you banging on the packers?

Rodgers is going to back up Favre for 7 years? Really?

Why is the Packers overtime loss on the road to the NFC Champs "embarrassing".... but your own Chicago Lions 13th losing season in the last 18 years not??

HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!! You are in Swampdoggian territory with your delusionality!!!

Why do you hold the Packers to such a high standard and not your own crapass team?

The Packers are supposed to be rebuilding.... (youngest team in the league for the third year straight) but are already 11-5..... Bears have been rebuilding for 20 years! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Would Favre had done better than Rodgers on this Packer team? Very doubtful.... He was a hail mary pass and an easy Balt FG from doing the exact same thing that Tavaris did last year (10-6)... And Tavaris is one of the worst quarterbacks in the league -- he's Chicago Bear quarterback bad....

And Favre's 8-8 Jets team from last year???? A few plays away from the Super Bowl with a rookie QB and a rookie coach....

So, there's really no telling....

Bottom lines

Favre: old.... ended Vikes season with stupid-ass INT when he could have walked backwards into FG range

Rodgers: young... MVP-like stats.... getting better and better.... only QB to throw for 4,000 yards in his first two years... Sky is the limit... In his second year already far better than any Bear quarterback in their long history....

Chicago Lions: Sucky.... past, present, future

Favre was an awesome QB.... nobody is crapping on him..... I don't think bringing up his epic meltdowns = crapping on him.... It's just objectivity*

And he completely owned da Bears for most of his career.

He just doesn't come close to measuring up to Rodgers in his first two years as a Packer

I know that you as a Bear fan appreciate how good Favre was.... I also know that you as a Bear fan (having been through 37 crappy quarterbacks during the Favre reign) know how important quarterback play is.... so if you get a chance to follow a 16-year HOF QB with another 16-year HOF QB, it's not necessarily a bad thing like crazy BMoney is making it out to be...

I know that -- deep down -- you get it :pointstosky:

The Packers are supposed to be rebuilding.... (

Not really. Lots of experts picked the fudgepackers to be in the SB this year....go look at the CNNSI and ESPN predictions before the season. So a 51 point embarassment is what it is...exposes the over-rated packers to be closer to the 6-10 team they were a year ago.

The Bears were not expected to win the div (it was the Vikings). So a 7-9 record was not very far away than what is expected from a team that was starting inexperienced WRs (WR #2 had zero catches previous year; WR #1 was in his 2nd year starting as WR; WR #3 was rookie); 2 new players on the OL with no experience (Chris Williams starting as a rookie since he was injured 1st year; Omiyale pretty much a rookie in the league); injuries at RB (Forte); lost best player on D in 1st game to fluke injury etc etc

But you keep dreaming that the fudgepackers are close to winning anything important. Teams that give up 51 points are a joke....you need a D to win in this league. Next year you do not get the crappy schedule of the NFC West and AFC North.

Teams that give up 51 points are a joke...

Then what do you call a team that gets slaughtered twice by a team that gives up 51 points?

What do you call a team that has four more losses than a team that gives up 51 points?

What do you call a team that has been owned past, present and future by a team that gives up 51 points?

I'll take your answers off the air

And what does the Packers dominance over the Bears past, present, and future (although an interesting discussion within itself) have anything to do with a Chicago Lions fan -- rooting for the crappiest team in the NFL over the last 20 years save the actual Lions -- starting a dumbass thread dogging the personnel moves and management of a glorious franchise that has had only 2 losing seasons over the last 18 years and are at the beginning of another long, impressive run....

And you would think if the Packers suck so bad...the bears could have put up some points against them.

Slaughtered? Watch some football some time. Both games were close. 1st game: despite 5 turnovers and a gift mistake on special teams, Bears were one final drive away from winning it. 2nd game, Bears led in 4th quarter. But you keep dreaming your team is a juggernaut....51 points :o ... 6-10 the year before....lose to the winless Bucs this past year <_<

"Jay Cutler is one of the top quarterbacks in the league,'' Bates said. "I had a great three years with him. He's tough and wants to win on Sunday. He's a fighter. He'll do whatever it takes. He's extremely intelligent. And his football IQ is off the charts.''

Your mom once told you that you were handsome, too.... Unfortunately, that's not helping you and your Steve Buscemi mug get any chicks or the Chicago Lions win any games, for that matter

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

7-9 = 7-9 = 7-9

Funny...were you whining about Favre and the Packers season ending early in 2005 and 2006? Or just when Favre left. Or were all of those losses Ted Thompson's fault too?

And "packer fans"...yup...obviously you don't include yourself as a fan. Are you done pretending to be a Packer fan now?

for the 7th straight year of you asking..im a seahawks fan....but i do pull for the packers living here and all...havent you made a note of that somewhere?

they had the top blunders from the 09 season on nfl network last night..have you guys seen the rodgers play again now that the emotions are calmed? its an all time idiot play...

and legal per the nfl..unlike favres first int...

rodgers is hit..loses the ball for a tuck rule incomplete...looks down and KICKS the ball

really...explain what your wonder boy was thinking when he KICKED the ball for a game ending fumble return...anything? the reaction of mike mccarthy was priceless...

ill root for the packers more when TT is gone...you can love his direction of jamming his qb in when the team was 13-3...and having a DPOY and still assembling a D that gives up 500 yards or 45 pts to any team that has a legit qb...

its just fun to ehar people blame favre and everyone make every possible excuse for rodgers..it still continues....

nice of the nfl to admit they were wrong in the saints game..shocker..once it was ot, it became katrinagate..imagine what mike vandermause wouldve said had minny been gb? you wouldve been on here reciting his every word and spewing venom..tell me more, mike

Could it be the fact that when Rodger makes a mistake he is young, seciond year starter. You expect a few mistakes and growing pains. When Favre make a rookie mistake, like he did in the final minutes of regulation against the Saints, there is no excuse. Not for a 19 year vet who was supposed to lead him team to the Super Bowl.

Who could have moonwalked backwards into Automatic Longwell's field goal range..... :pointstosky: and sent Minn. to their first Super Bowl since Carter was president....

But, yes, facts are a tough thing for BMoney to comprehend while he's gargling Favre's 40 year old gray-haired nuts <_<
