ERZER 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Look, I'll agree all you want, but there is no way you can prove that everyone likes at least one song. You can try and do a poll to find out how many on this forum do or don't, but outside of that, WTF are you trying to accomplish with multiple attempts? This is like a politician who didn't get the vote their way and they keep asking for recounts until they do!

Me_2006 14 Posted September 7, 2008 If there are any fewer than 20+ people who don't like the Eagles, we can just distribute all their songs that I like to even them out. Great, great band for a long, long time.
jerryskids 6,800 Posted September 7, 2008 My favorite Eagles song, even though it was written by Steve Young (the folk artist, not the QB), not them: Seven Bridges Road I couldn't find a visual video to go with this performance, but listen to the harmonies. This is live. Possibly my favorite song to play on guitar. If you can't find an Eagles song to like you hate music.
Voltaire 5,317 Posted September 7, 2008 You are young, have poor taste in music, or are clueless. Posty is old. He's been on the internet since the beginning. He recieved Al Gore's first email. My take is he only listens to music that aired on Your Hit Parade in the 1930 and 40s. He also spends a lot of time out riding fences.

hooray4puppies 0 Posted September 7, 2008 im 22, and i kinda grouped the eagles with other "older" music that i didnt like cause our local rock station would play nothing but that kind of stuff. bands like ac/dc, metallica, led zeppellin(sp), and so on. great legendary bands all, but stuff thats played so much my ears bleed. im a gigantic fan of music though and once i re-discovered the eagles a little while back i fell back in love. btw, i cant tell u why is my fav big time. Voltaire 5,317 Posted September 7, 2008 Older than "appreciate the Eagles" old? So like, he's dead? Can I take him in his dead pool? Honestly, I don't know how old posty is. He was a well established internet veteran presence at FF sites when I first got on the internet 10 years ago. But somebody who was use to listening to 40s music and thought Elvis and Chuck Berry represeted the downfall of music, could plausibly be in their 70s. edjr 6,598 Posted September 8, 2008 Lets be honest. The Eagles as a whole are the most talented rock band of all time. Name another band that had more members go on have very successful solo careers. The Beatles? over-rated Who else you got?

edjr 6,598 Posted September 9, 2008 Holy Crap Batman, I actually agree with Edjr. Their entire careers were based on timing and nothing more. Sure, John and Paul had decent solo careers, but John's death turned him into a much bigger solo artist than he would have been. George and Ringo? please.. hacks Eagles > beatles
phillybear 366 Posted September 9, 2008 The Eagles suck a big bag of d!cks. I'd rather have my eyes pecked out by a real eagle than have to listen to their crappy country music. If you think they are rock, you are a lunkhead.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted September 9, 2008 Lets be honest. The Eagles as a whole are the most talented rock band of all time. Name another band that had more members go on have very successful solo careers. The Beatles? over-rated Who else you got? I have to say that man for man, the most talented rock band of all time is Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young. Those guys all created great music with their prior bands (The Byrds, The Hollies, Buffalo Springfield) and all did good stuff solo. Neil Young is one of the 10 best songwriters in Rock History. The Eagles are obviously extremely talented, but let's not forget that many "Eagles" hits were not written by the Eagles. As mentioned above, "Seven Bridges Road" wasn't. A few of the early hits were given to them by Jackson Browne. That said, Don Henly and Glen Frye are geniuses. You know when Joe Walsh is hind tit in your band, you've got a good thing going. The Beatles would probably be the my #2 in man for man talent. If you kicked Ringo out that could put them over the top. John was a genius, plain and simple. One of the best wordsmiths of the 20th century. His problem was that he was lazy, particularly with the music. Who knows what he would have done had he lived? Paul, on the other hand, is a genius with music, but a little weak on the lyrics. That's why the two together are the best songwriting duo in music history. George stepped out from the shadows with "All Things Must Pass" and showed that he is extremely talented in his own right. He also contributed more great stuff to the Beatles catalouge than people give him credit for (While my Guitar Gently Weeps, for example). Ringo was a piker, but even he did some good stuff solo. And yes, if you claim that there isn't one Eagles song you like, you haven't listened to the Eagles. Shut up, you are embarassing yourself by displaying your ignorance. If the Beatles came along in the 70's they would have been just another run of the mill band. The Eagles came along when rock n roll was an american staple and they have stood the test of time. I'm glad no one has mentioned the rolling stones yet.. god I focking hate them

But Joe Walsh was already a hugely successful artist before the Eagles and Ed said the members "went on" to have successful careers. So nope. And one decent hit doesn't qualify. So nope again.
