Â Anyone who sings and dances usually has a vocal track playing during their concerts. Their microphones are 'live' and they do occasionally sing along or ad lib, but it is nearly impossible to sing while dancing for any amount of time. Try it sometime. Â I think Danny got lucky last night. He is the wild card now. If he kills it next week he has the chops to win, if he doesn't he is the next to go. Â And then we have Adam. A few songs of his this year have been absolutely great. I love it when he does the more slower songs and controls his voice. But like alot of people his screaming and theatre stuff is getting old fast. Not sure if he holds on to win or not. Â All in all I think the race to win is wide open. Did you notice how far away the camera stayed from her? Did you notice how they did the lighting??? Usually all you saw was profile in blinding light. Paula Abdul isn't trying to win a singing contest or even pretend to be a great singer. Even during her popularity, she wasn't consider some amazing vocalist. Â I suppose she could have stood their and just sung the song, but she wanted to dance. That's her strongsuit and what she's famous for. She's not Mariah Carey. No one buys her records or goes to her shows because they want to marvel at her voice. Â Â You saw what happened when Gwen Stefani tried singing live.. She jumped around for the first few minutes of the song and lost her breath. She barely made it through. And Paula moved around ten times as much as she did. Â Â she did seem to do way too much but i enjoyed the effort...she had a kid and looks great and is just getting back into it...she actually sang..great with crowd participation and sang a song everyone knows... She pulled a song out of her ass last year, too...and they showed the video on Idol. Â She's not young anymore, and she can't sing well. She might be a good dancer/choreographer, but to put herself on THAT stage, just seems lame and a ploy to try and get more attention. Â Daughtry was great.
