Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted November 18, 2009 Finally kicked him to the bench in favor of Boldin this week. Not everyone has studs sitting on their bench. Let me guess, it's a start 2 WR league.
edjr 6,602 Posted November 18, 2009 Jennings is a leadpipe for 80-1200-14 this year, im actually even expecting better
Big Zeke 0 Posted November 18, 2009 I'm in a start 3 WR league, and am pretty much forced to continue to keep Jennings in my starting lineup, given his potential and the fact that he's virutally injury free. Is the consensus here that all hope is lost? Or does anyone have a good reason why he might finish strong? The Bowe owner is down to only 3 WR's on his roster (V Jax, Sidney Rice and Harvin). With 2 eggs in one basket, he's looking to deal. He's got some pre-season "stud" RB's in Forte and LT, both of which he's been trying to use as trade bait. Who's got the most potential to finish stronger: (1) Jennings; (2) Forte; or (3) LT? I view them all as pretty much equally disappointing. p.s. I think this would be a relevant question to many, and hence I used this existing Jennings thread and didn't open a new topic on the help board.
msudavedawg 5 Posted November 18, 2009 Not everyone has studs sitting on their bench. Let me guess, it's a start 2 WR league. Yep. 2 WR and a W/R/T flex. Boldin owner got fed up a few weeks ago and cut him loose so I snagged him.
ufeeboy 0 Posted November 18, 2009 I don't know why I keep starting this schmuck when I got Marshall and MSW on my bench. Jennings ------->
Ras66not99 0 Posted November 18, 2009 Yeah, I remember when Green Bay used to run slant patterns. What changed in 2009? Who knows, I wish I knew.... I have Jennings as my # 3 Wr in my long standing dynasty, and he's been dissapointing, however in my one redraft I do every year I stacked the deck with RB's early and snagged Driver late, so it's been sweet and sour with the packers Wr's for me this year
IndyFan 2 Posted November 18, 2009 I benched him 4 or 5 weeks ago. I have Moss, Ocho and took fliers on Rice and S Smith late in my draft. Jennings was a waste of a third round pick.
Kaptain02 0 Posted November 19, 2009 I benched him 4 or 5 weeks ago. I have Moss, Ocho and took fliers on Rice and S Smith late in my draft. Jennings was a waste of a third round pick. He was a 3rd round bust for me too... But I haven't started him for weeks; I was lucky enough to get D Jackson to take over the second WR spot.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted November 19, 2009 Amazingly enough, with my league's scoring, he's the 20th overall WR. I traded for him 4 weeks ago at rock bottom prices and he has worked out pretty well as my #3 WR. I realize he's way below expectations but he's still worth starting for me. Damn I wish I had your leagues scoring haha. He's 28 in my league, which is actually better than I though it would be! I think that maybe he'll have a few more decent games before the end of the year. But now I'm thinking about benching him for Roy Williams (gasp). Quick somebody talk me out of it

SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted November 19, 2009 Jennings has become unreliable even as a WR3. I think I like a lot of owners have just left him plugged in - but guess what, he's really a matchup player. And even as a matchup player he's disappointed - the DET game is a perfect example, some catches for PPR 6 for 64, but no TD's. Jones has been getting his former role - the deep ball and long TD's - and Driver is getting the big plays and TD's. Jennings looks like he has been turned into a possession receiver. The question now is whether to start him as a WR3 flyer on any given week or maybe even whether to drop him, the way I see it. What do people think of his remaining schedule? 11 11/22/09 1:00pm SF - - - - - good matchup 12 11/26/09 12:30pm @DET - - - - - good matchup 13 12/07/09 8:30pm BAL - - - - - no 14 12/13/09 1:00pm @CHI - - - - - no 15 12/20/09 1:00pm @PIT - - - - - no 16 12/27/09 1:00pm SEA - - - - - good matchup (that should be some coldish weather though) Does the above look right? I'm looking at Maclin and Meachem, maybe Hakeem Nicks, and maybe some people might be able to get Coles or maybe have other options at WR. Really, what to do here? He's had 2-3 decent games all year, and just 1 since Week 1, now 3 weeks ago.

LouisC9999 3 Posted November 22, 2009 As I suspected, all he needed was for me to finally bench him. X2 He'll probably go for 80 more yards and a TD in the second half. Then when we re-insert him into our lineups next week...
Gepetto 1,370 Posted November 22, 2009 Right on cue after I traded Jennings away this week. Got Thomas Jones and really needed a #2 RB so OK with it I guess.
Big Zeke 0 Posted November 22, 2009 Glad I continued to stick by him! All worth it. Too bad most of my other players are sucking it up so far.

thekinn 0 Posted November 23, 2009 So this good game, will be enough for me to start him next week - just in time for him to slip back into fantasy crapdom.
Zackattack 0 Posted November 23, 2009 I just traded him with McCoy for Ocho. I had plenty of RB's. Might bite me in the ass in a big way.
Turf CamelToe 1 Posted November 23, 2009 Currently the #23 WR in my PPR with a great schedule the rest of the way.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted December 22, 2009 Tied for 12th overall WR in my league alongside Ocho-Cinco. Not consistent but not a bust either.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted December 22, 2009 sat on my bench in with Antonio Bryant in his starting spot, cost me 17 pts, but thankfully not a victory.
huskerinct 1 Posted December 22, 2009 At the last minute, I put Jennings in, and sat D. Williams. 20 pt difference, I won by 15. Super Bowl is next!
CornKobb 48 Posted December 23, 2009 Here is a scenario for you all.......Hanging at a friends Deer lease in West Texas and missed my first Mon nite football game in Forever in early October when Gbay and Minny played. Minny beat em down and i looked at my cell and saw Greg had another 3-38 day and said this is the ULTIMATE BUY LOW TRADE OF THE YEAR.......Anyways i call up a desparate owner in a 12 team league who hasnt had any rb help and traded him Lynch and Jerome Harrison for Greg Jennings and Joe nedney....... Funny how things work out .......could of had Harrison but would have never played him.....blew up. For the record Greg Jennings is a disapointment but has the potential to BLOW up .....hard to bench.
