swirvenirvin 25 Posted November 19, 2009 I use my headset to verbally abuse people who put care packages on the roof or some other unreachable location. also, never stand near them when they drop. They bounce unpredictably and if it hits you, it kills you. Yeah I wasnt sure if if it the frag or what so I threw it out the window I was at.. So I guess it's decent once you get it set up, but you have to go out in the open to get it usually or you are concentrating on it, and there is a decent chance you lose your kill streak by usung it. It won't stick around for long, makes promises it won't keep, and has an arrow near the rectum with the words "insert here" written on it. I hear it's pretty much worthless. A good tactic is to throw the smoke/flare for the package and then find a nice spot to hide; they tend to attract the enemy b/c you're left vulnerable while you open the package. As far as the single player goes, it's a good game in the sense that it is graphically impressive, immersive and disturbing in a good way (this might be the most anti-war war game ever.) I do think that it has one glaring omission and this is there's no real cover mechanic, which kind of makes it a little dated. That being said, there are many other great games on the PS3 that none of these other guys seem to play. I highly recommend Uncharted 2, which, by the way, has an AWESOME cover mechanic. In fact, after playing Uncharted 2 it was kind of hard to get used to CODMW2. Uncharted 2 also has an online mode, but it doesn't compare to CODMW2. Some other great games: Assassins Creed 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Fight Night 4, Infamous, Little Big Planet (might not be for you)...the upcoming God of War 3 should be epic. Plus the Blu Ray and if you're into Facecrack, they just added that. ETA: PS3 Slim + 2nd controller...250gb = $350 or 120gb = $300...free shipping...saves you $50...almost the cost of the game. It doesn't really mesh with the CoD universe at all though because one of the main themes of CoD is the inability to hide behind most things. Most cover can be pierced. And killcam somewhat eliminates camping an area. To survive, ya gotta keep repositioning...cover wouldn't work. I haven't played any of the third person multiplayer in CoD so maybe it'd work there (or is there, hell if I know). If he's talking single player...yeah maybe it would work there. There's a reason they didn't put it in Killzone's multiplayer though. And personally I use the veteran campaign to gear up for online play. However, after coming from a game like Uncharted 2, which had a very good cover mechanic, it was a little jarring and initially took a little away from the realism of the game.
