Jerryskids also said he wanted rock songs like "sweet home alabama". so I think Newbie had the correct era but not something i would be dancing to in cancun. Party went extremely well; lots of dancing, drinking, billiards, games, video games, etc. To the music question, I think MedStudent hit it on the head when he talked about age. I am in my low 40s, and it ends up our crowd is somewhat bimodal: - Children thru mid-20s: Mylie, Gaga, etc. - 40-50+: Disco. One of the ladies used to do competitive disco, and knew a bunch of line dances. The line dances are a big hit, presumably because you can dance without being a good dancer, just follow the line. So... the 80s music including the rock songs weren't big hits with this crowd. Another thing that happened... people started plugging in their mp3 players and playing their music.
