I voted for MedStudent. I don't actually believe it, but he didn't have any votes and I didn't want him to feel left out.

GH has become infinitely more dooshy since he fell in love with nikki and now posts only to impress her. He's like a smart OldMaid. I used to be a huge fan. :dunno:

I don't know what you are talking about. I doubt GH is "in love" with me  and he might be nice to me and even have purdy eyes, but I could never get past some of the horrible things he's apparently said to others. :dunno:

Ruh roh! Fellow arrogant dooshbag alert!

Nice choice. I'd love a GT3, but don't think I can justify it for the extra 20K over a 4s.

Wow, I wish I had that kind of money. 911 Carrera has always been my dream car but the price has gone up. The streets around where I live (Omaha) aren't good enough for that car anyway. If you get one, consider waiting for the 2012 (lots of changes to the the vehicle for 2012).

I'm having a hard time justifying getting a new Porsche since none of my family, friends or co-workers, or neighbors have one. Except, I can justify it to myself because I can afford it and I want the best.

Porsches are cool cars, but I don't think they are the best at anything. There is more performance to be had for the coin, and more luxury, and more exclusivity. Make sure your vanity plate says SMLPNIS.

That's just not true.

2011 Porsche Cayenne is Motortrends SUV of the year.

I would probably go with URJELUS.

I already have vanity plates though.

Cars are more a matter of taste than anything else. 911 Carrera4s is around the 100K mark. What do you like better for around that money? I'll be good insight into your taste.

Very nice rides. A good frined of mine bought one last year and proceeded to smoke the clutch downshifting from 5th to 2nd,,Or something like that. Well, he didn't actually smoke the clutch, (he thought he did) but it scared him enough to take it to the dealer.

The flywheel and dual clutch system are pretty strong in these..

Can't go wrong with that car.

For that money if you wanted to make more of a splash you could go with the Astin Martin V8 Vantage but personally I don't like the look of those cars.

I do like the look of the Audi R8 but I don't know much about their performance.

I think the Maserati Quattroporte comes in close to $100,000 as well.

The 911 Carrera would be a fine pick.

You're right. I just felt like taunting Gepetto. Honestly though, I don't understand the concept of a sport SUV, as I associate sports cars with handling. Seems like a waste of a good engine in a glorified minivan.

I always liked sports cars growing up and imagined I'd own a nice one someday. The funny thing is, now that I can afford it I don't really desire one. I will never purchase a new car again - throwing away money, and the song-and-dance is highly irritating.

To answer your question, for around $100K I'd think about a Tesla Roadster, Audi R8 or Caterham Superlight R500.

I like an SUV that's also fun to drive. I'm single and only want to own one car, pay one insurance premium, one licensing and registration, but I like the view sitting up higher in an SUV and I need a real SUV for snow in a hilly city. So my only choices that fit that are the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Volkswagon Toureg, and the Porsche Cayenne, or Range Rover. The rest of the SUVs are just minivans that sit up a higher, but often have poor handling or don't do well in snow and definitely can't deal with any off road driving or even just going somewhere and parking off road in say some grassy and muddy area after a rain. I currently drive a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with 56,000 miles. It's in perfect condition and I had it paid off 3 years ago. It's fun to drive and handles all my needs. So, I'll probably just keep driving it rather than throwing a bunch of money at a new ride but it's fun to look at new cars. Also, when I do buy, I'm a really good negotiator.

I guess if you have to get an SUV, you could do worse than a Cayenne :)

I drive seldom, but target keeping a vehicle ~10 years before looking for something new. Rather spend my money on travel.
