How do we feel about union leaders that tell their members exactly who to vote for and which polling place to go to intimidate voters or else they won't get work?

This is logical. In a society economically imbalanced by the politics of privilege, the only rational thing is for the underclasses to use coercion to right capitalism's ethical wrongs.

I agree I feel this same way about this idiot as the idiot teacher that threatened a student for wearing a Romney shirt.

That kid got run out of that school. Teacher read some apology yesterday that denied any wrong doing, felt sort of bad that the kid took her good natured joshing about the KKK the wrong way, and that was that. No mention of the physical manhandling the teacher and aide gave the kid when they tried to use a Sharpie to cross off Romney's name on the shirt. The crowd of students cheered the teacher on, the teacher's union high fived, and that kid along with her siblings have to transfer to another school now.

so the guys an Ass cause if Obama is re-elected he will be paying more then 50% of his money, that he spent 42 yrs of his life working for to build a billion dollar corporation. What is wrong with you 47%, why are you guys so angry that rich people just worked harder or came up with something better then you. Why are you so jealous? I am jealous of this guy, but I say good for him, it makes me happy that people actually have an opportunity in this country to make whatever they can acheive without the govt holding them back.

I dont care if you make 10000 a year or 10 million a yr, 50% of your money going towards taxes is ridiculous

Yeah, but you must not want free sh1t.

You see, this guy, as a rich man, has an obligation to pay for others health care, daycare, diapers, electricity and EBT cards.

It's not fair he has all of this money and there are starving children right here in the US.

Nevermind that maybe their parents should get a focking job, or even better, not have fuckin kids (because they can't afford them obviously), but you see personal responsibility is 'old-school' don't ya know?

it's how the white-reds use the black-reds, right? to keep the black population enslaved to an ideology long enough to take full control, then do away with the black-reds and the regular blacks. obama and van jones are the edumacated black-reds being used by the controlling white-reds until they don't need any of them any longer. then, we will truly get the revelation of marx, stalin, che, hitler, putin. so, really instead of being mudsharks, white-reds are faking the black love just long enough to get what they need from them, then be done with them altogether. isn't that sorta racist...and whatnot? how do you white-reds square with the muslims? see, they hate everyone, including you.

not insane to the ones that have your loyal support. you won't be on the balcony looking down, you'll be in the crowd...providing you are a fairer-haired white person. i haven't met you or seen a pic, so you should hope you fit the mold. they don't like educated types though, because they think you're smart enough to stir up trouble. the real reds will do away with professor types first, after those of other colors. of course, you'll be one of the ones working to keep utopia's hedges trimmed and weeds whacked, but you'll get 3 squares and a bungalow apartment above the oil storage facility. bruce can bring you the finer details.

I think the big difference is that the teacher who did that was likely shamed and punished for it immediately afterward. This guy will have FOX News pointing to his comments as evidence that an Obummer win would in fact mean billionaires are forced to lay off employees.

I'm not one to call the guy greedy for fearing for his fortune, but the implication is that if you want to work for the guy, you have to vote for Romney. A lot of people who fear for their jobs, and that's most people in this economy, would feel compelled to vote the way their boss said if their job hung in the balance. Can this guy force people to vote for Romney? No, but what if it became known that you didn't? Will you be the first to be laid off?

I hate this BS politics of fear crap. Vote for Romney or we'll be a third world country in no time. Vote for Obama or the rich will have all the money and you won't have any. Load of crap.

No difference really she belongs to a union so no real punishment. Unions can use the same scare tactics as this assdart and it is okay.

Here's the best part:

The public sector unions will bring this country down if something is not done about them.

We are currently living off my wife's government union pension. She received 80% of her gross with cost of living and full medical. We were both able to retire in our mid 50's thanks to the generosity of the American Taxpayer.

Just a month ago Phur told me he had a private pension and many investments; now he and his wife have had seperate bank accounts their entire marriage - now they're living off his wife's pension. Also, he retired in his 50s which was according to this post 2009. But he claims to be a Vietnam veteran, which would put him in his 70s.

Obviously the guy is a lair and a troll and that's fine, this place is full of them. What gets me though is claiming to be a Vietnam vet. In my book that puts Phur roughly on par with a focking child molestor. I'm sure he's the kind of whiny little b1tch who takes a daily ass-beating so I guess it all works out.

Claiming military service you didn't complete =

As you know we have lived off my wife's government union pension since our mid 50's. The pay is so lucrative that we have not touched our 401 Ks, stocks, bonds, etc over the last 6 year. Does this mean that I have to love unions and everything they stand for? My wife was forced to join the union or she would have lost her job. All this means is that my knowledge of unions is first hand.

This is a post from 2011. It puts him in his early sixties now, which is about right for a Vietnam vet. Of course it also puts him as retiring in 2005. He probably just figured, three years ahead of time, that Obama would get elected and make it no longer worth the effort to work, and decided to beat the rush.

Originally he retired early to protest Obummer. Then Phur's been living off his wife's pension for 6 years. Now they have seperate accounts so he's not a mooch.

I don't know what the true story is. But I do know Phur is a focking liar and guys like him who claim military service they didn't complete should be executed by firing squad.

Libs expect 100% of blacks to vote dem because they claim it is in their best personal interest. What's wrong with this guy telling employees that it's in there best personal interest, if they want to keep their job, to vote for Romney?

Nobody from a union has ever threatened me regarding my vote in a political election.

Now Iwill say that I was sort of threatened once on a vote whether to leave the union. I reported them along with a number of other employees and there was a rather big to-do about it. Truth be told I never really cared much for unions and that episode certainly didn't help.

But still, I don't really think the two are comparable. I don't know, maybe things are different elsewhere, but any place I've ever lived the only real power unions had was through political donations, endorsements, and advertisements. Not threatening to fire their employees if the guy they don't like wins the election.

This guy sounds like a real prince;

“Our house is like a convention center compared to the other houses here,” says David Siegel as he drives through The Reserve at Lake Butler Sound, a gated community in Orlando. The other houses here are not small: They average 10,000 square feet. But his home will be nine times as large. Siegel stops at the end of Kirkstone Lane, pulls into his driveway, and looks around. “Next door is a 12,000-square-foot house. That could be my maid’s quarters one day,” he says lightly. Then he catches himself and adds, “No, I shouldn’t say that, it sounds like an insult.”

These days, Westgate’s buyers have an average income of about $75,000; Siegel describes them as Wal-Mart (WMT) customers. A time share is the right to a property for a given amount of time, sold by the week. To purchase the right to an annual week at one of Westgate’s resorts costs an average of $25,000 for a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. (That does not include maintenance, which might run $700 a year). A typical buyer puts 10 percent down and takes out a 10-year mortgage from Westgate with a 16 to 18 percent interest rate. Westgate borrows against the mortgage, at a rate of 5 or 6 percent. More than half of what Westgate makes every year comes from that interest rate spread, according to the company’s chief financial officer, Tom Dugan.

No one at Westgate calls this subprime lending; no one at Westgate thinks of time shares as mortgage factories. But Dugan says its customer default rate is about 20 percent. Among those with a credit score around 500, it is as high as 50 percent. “Why would you be in a business like that?” he asks. “Because our cash flow was still positive, and with unlimited financing it made sense to do it. The lenders didn’t have to trust the individual buyers. They had to trust the company—that we could generate a new mortgage when one went bad.

David says: “There’s always been rich and poor, the 1 percent and the 99 percent.” And then he adds, “It’s like a prison. If you only have prisoners and no guards, you’d have chaos.”

It sounds like we found Mitt's target demographic for the 47% comments, only this guy extends it to 99% of us.

99%=poor=prisoners=chaos

1%=rich=guards=no chaos

Thank god we have those 1%s to keep all us dumb-ass 99%s in line.

and unfortunately, a rich ass whole can usually do more damage, and cause more harm, simply b/c he has more means/ways/leverage to do so... and specifically to do so "legally".

this isn't the type of guy that I consider "worked harder" than everyone, or "invented the next great thing", or "blood, sweat and tears to make it to the top"... nope, this guy's a shyster - he's another ass whole gaming the system. hat's what He figured out a way to fock everybody and make money at it legally... he's on par with the ambulance chaser lawyer, the no-show DPW worker, the dishonest auto mechanic, the pension double-dipping ex-cop, the "our corporate HQs is a mailbox in Sweden while all 100,000 empolyees are in America".

Mitt Romney would probably HELP his campaign if he came out against this guy - the guy represents EVERYTHING Romney wants to disassociate with and may make for a good soap box for Romney.

Banks. The guys is in debt up to his ass.

Siegel says the company is just as profitable as it once was. “We were fat before, and I didn’t care,” he says. “Now we’re lean and mean.” All those profits, though, some $125 million or more a year, go to Westgate’s banks. “In three years I’ll be totally out of debt,” he says. “Then all the money will come to me, and I won’t know what to do with it. Well, I’ll make the company bigger. But this time I won’t borrow to do it. I don’t want to be in debt.”

To be fair, if you believe the guy, he did work hard to build what he's got. But I agree with the rest of what you say; it's a very shady business model that prays on the gullible who think they need a slice of the rich and famous lifestyle, selling them mortgages at ridiculous rates, and knowing all the while that a lot of them can't afford it and are going to default and be hurt in the end. The guy got his t!t in a wringer financially when the bottom when out of the mortgage securities market and he couldn't peddle his mortgages. Poetic justice.

fair enough parrot - I'm just being reactionary, I realize that - but IMO, the American Dream of hard work and success shouldn't be some model/variant of "just fock everybody and every system as much as possible" and that's exactly what we get with the Welfare abusers and the Ultra Rich - it's part of why the honest, middle class is stuck in the middle of all this mess.

what is a timeshare? :dunno:

:dunno:

you get Oldmaid for 10 minutes.

then Sux gets her for 10 minutes.

then Newbie gets her for 7 seconds (but counts as 10 min b/c that's the minimun).

As time passes, you all share - and Oldmaid makes money for it.

It is of course, for the poor, weak, and downtrodden who can not get Old Maid all the time, and anytime they want - but at least it gives them a taste of the Great Hallway that only the privlidged have full time access to.

From what I understand, you can rent mules that will carry you all the way to the bottom of Old Maid's hallway. But you'll need to bring a 3 day supply of water with you.
