In fact, this seasons Seahawk team isn't even their best in club history, as I would also take their 1983 version with Jim Zorn, Curt Warner, Steve Largent and Kenny Easley over this season's collection of clowns any day lol... And respectfully, having some holiday cheer I'd say let's not get glassy eyed here, maybe go discuss with some of your more 'experienced' Seahawk fans lol...

Brandon Browner was a Pro Bowler last year who is now an afterthought. Walter Thurmond beat out Browner for a starting job. Thurmond now can't beat out Byron Maxwell for a starting job. The group is elite and deep.

 

Some interesting overall metrics to peruse, end of the season Seahawk numbers, especially in a league built to throw flags on defenders for merely glaring at a WR :

Hey, I loved that 83-84 team, but it wasn't sitting at 13-3 with a #1 seed and sitting at #1 in nearly everybody's power ranking at the end of the regular season. How will it shake out? I don't know. If this season's team loses it's first playoff game, it will be a failure of a season and clearly it didn't advance as far as the 83-84 and 05-06 teams did. But I don't think there is any doubt in my mind or any Seahawk fans mind that this is the most talented team we've ever had. Now, it has to go out and finish it.

Apologies for waxing nostalgic lol... it is just ironic as I always felt that Seahawks team would've matched up well with Washington and won that super bowl as well.

 

Just ask that unbeaten Pats team about finishing.

Hear me out. It's interesting. Harvin has been playing with a deforming hip socket for the past 25 years or so. This off season, after all that money Seattle ponied up, they wanted him to be 100%. So, they reconstructed his hip socket. Now, considering the advances in surgery, when ACL meant you were a gimp for 2 years to AP going for MVP in less than a year, I say that it is interesting. Now, when your muscles, ligaments, etc are moving in one type of pattern for several decades when you run, then suddenly, you have surgery, and you ask them to move in another way, albeit in the correct way, do you think they will be angry and sore? God, yes? So, this is what this debacle of a season for Harvin has become. Still, as Carroll was ready to write him off for the season, Harvin begged for another shot, and after practicing, they think he will play in Round 2 of the playoffs. Harvin is going to suck up the pain. And that is just what it is, pain. It's not reinjury. Harvin can only help. What, can you say decoy? Maybe he can actually play? Bonus!! Next season, Harvin will be better off than at any point in his career and finally become the co-#1 WR with Golden Tate.
