***The Official Seattle Seahawks 2013 Season Thread***

Recommended Posts

Well, no ###### jackass. Any team that goes from horrible to good will get a boatload of bandwagon jumpers. And in two years, when their players all split for better money, they'll be back in the 20's.

The Seahawks have been a very good team for over a decade now, jackass.

And now you are predicting they will mismanage the cap, after putting on a clinic on how to properly manage it the past few years. Now all of the sudden they will fall apart?

You suck at putting thoughts together.

Over a decade?? They were in the weakest division in football for most of that time and snuck in at 7-9 one year., Last years and this year are the only years they were championship contender good since their Super Bowl loss. Check the history, teams fanbases skyrocket when they suddenly become relevant. Hope this helps.

And yes, all those reserve defensive backs are going to want starter money. And Wilson will want a huge contract. So enjoy this little run. It's almost over., Oh well, you'll still have a loud stadium. I guess that's an accomplishment. :dunno: Woohoo

I almost forgot to mention, the 12th Man panicked the WWE to go off script last night as the did their live Monday night cable show in Seattle. They were giving a late push for their pay per view this upcoming weekend with a hard sell promo at the end of the show, gving mic time to boring Jon Cena and Randy Orton, the guys in the main event for Sunday. The crowd kept interrupting endlessly with chants for local boy Daniel Bryan, easily the most popular guy in the WWE right now, but the crowd was extra electric last night, where Cena and Triple H had to improvise their pitches and speeches because the crowd was having none of it and just kept going on and on for Bryan. It was kind of nutty. Of course, there were plenty of Russell Wilson chants throughout the night as well.

This is so full of stupid, I want to weep and then gouge out my eyes with my thumbs for ever reading it in the first place.

This thread is comedy gold. But maybe not for the reasons you think.

I think I can aggregate all of the anti-Hawks sentiment into one of three main flavors:

1. You guys are a bunch of bandwagoners! (i.e., not 'real' fans)

2. Your team has never won anything so why are you getting all excited?

3. If your team actually does win anything, it's because of the PEDs/cheating

On the first one, I have to say, uh, what? Me, PhillyBear and Kopy, and plenty of others, have posted on the Hawks for years. Even when things were going to sh!t and fell into total sh!t. This is nonsense. Just like Andy Dufresne we have emerged from 500 yards of foulness, and it is a new day.

On the second one, uh, isn't this the opposite of the first one? We've been here consistently for around a decade, even though we've never won the championship and only seriously challenged for it once. If that isn't a sign of hardcore fandom, I'm not sure what is.

On the third one: nonsense. Your anti-Hawk venom is trying to put an asterisk, a scarlet letter, what have you, against the team in the "unfortunate" event that the Hawks actually do win. You are trying to delegitimize my team. It's probably a function of what I'll call Spygate Fever. Once a team has any black mark against it, well, that explains everything. It couldn't be that the team is actually any good - they must be cheating! And never mind whether they serve their league-mandated suspensions if appeal process is denied - once guilty, always guilty! It's the cockroach in the kitchen theory. And it's a lazy argument, because it is impossible to prove a counterfactual. How does someone prove that the non-violators aren't in fact cheating? Apparently, lack of new violations is not enough to convince you guys. So nothing will. But you'll notice that whenever a losing team has a PED violation, nary a peep is heard. Apparently the PEDs are only cited when it's a winning team, because, after all, winning teams are scary if you root for a different team.

Bottom line, this is a good team. Possibly a great team. Me and other Hawks fans have been patiently waiting for years to develop into championship potential, it is finally here, we know it, you know it, and we know that you know it. And it scares you guys because none of you want to play the Hawks in Seattle. But keep blowing smoke, you lazy-of-mind dbags.

It's unfortunate for you that the stench of Flahawker permeates all the Seahawks fans, but it's a fact. He's like the Rainman of dooshiness. He taints all of you like mad-cow disease infested beef.

 It's nice to see that you make such broad generalizations (you should have stayed in school; you may have learned about logical fallacies!). But anyway, I love that no matter what the Seahawks do, win, lose, or tie, that I am so far in your head that you cannot wait to come here and hate. I win! You lose--again!!!! :overhead: :music_guitarred:

In our heads...that is funny.

Especially from a guy who searches out what I say on other boards and follows people around at the geek club to whine some more.

Face it...the only fact here is that you are a giant d-bag and most people see that.

Personally have always respected Seahawks AND their fans. From Jack Patera days of Jim Zorn, to Chuck Knox and Curt Warner, to even now. Though I am definitely no fan of Carroll's sideline manner of hysterical slappy feely with the players. Just feel it degenerates the game and the other coaches (though some definitely deserve it). That passes down to the team, and in such a violent sport I feel there still is a place for humility, grace, and sportsmanship. Dancing in the end zone is one thing, but some of what occurs in today's NFL is just over the top. That is Seattle's brand of football, endorsed from the coach on down, and it's very easy to pull against it. A hockey player was once asked why their players were closed mouthed, if not close-fisted. "We carry sticks" was the reply.

The Kingdome has ALWAYS been a nightmare to play in, for the Raiders at least... I'm flabbergasted at this new found discovery of Seattle's 12th man lol... Anyhow, the bandwagon crack was meant for the out of control Barney Fife washerwomen, who basically can't help themselves... I mean, act like you've been there before, ha ha ha.

This was accomplished despite some bad calls/no calls that went Seattle's way and without Iupati ... and some overly conservative play calling by Greg Roman.

St. Louis supplied the blueprint for beating Seattle and the best way to accomplish this is for a team to dedicate itself to running it up the gut ... Eating clock and ball control minimize the home field advantage Seattle has and has earned. If the two teams meet in the playoffs, I'd like to see the 49ers go to their jumbo lineup and do just this. The 49ers would also have to likely go through New Orleans or Carolina to get there, so it is still an uphill slog.

But please ... more gnashing of teeth!

All well and good - AT Frisco's home.... Good luck coming up here and applying that blueprint, which 49ers will have to do. We are a different and much better beast at home, and will be at a whole new gear. I would not be that happy with a 2 point squeeker of a win, with seattle coming off a Monday night battle, and going to a good teams house.

We dominated the 9ers up here and could have easily won this one too.

They missed 1 bad PT call for 49ers, but overall, the whiney coach over in 9er land was getting a boat load of calls go his way. He cried every fking play. I would not say the calls went against them that's for sure! I think more drive killers against us personally.

BUT, not to take away from there victory. Job well done by them. They needed it more and we just had a emotional win on Monday night against the Saints.

I welcome the loss (N.O. win was much more imporatant) - Cause we will own 49ers when/IF they come back here!

Can't win them all, but we easily could have. Can't be happier with our team.

I think they are saving Harvin as well. S.F had Crabtree, which made a big differance in that game.

Go Hawks! :first:

Just a heads up, there will be less calls against your squad when they stop holding receivers. That's why it was all the more satisfying watching Boldin man handle Sherman.

I also wouldn't be shocked to see Seattle lay an egg in NY this week. The excuses from that debacle, were it to happen, would be almost as classic as they were this week.

So in a MUST game the Whiners won by a measly 2 points due to some horrific penalties on Seattle. Congrats! What a statement!

Pure drivel. If the Faiders were winning and playing Seahawk style football you would be sitting back enjoying the ride, just as you did when the Faiders were really the Raiders and they were the dirtiest team in the league and winning super bowls. You, sir, are a hypocrite.

LOl. And not due to outgaining Seattle in the game and having 19 first downs to Seattle's 13. LOLOL

If not for bad refereeing, the Seahawks would be on a 50 game win streak and would have a Lombardi by now. Bwahahaha And you wonder why everyone thinks that Seahawk fans are the biggest ass holes of them all.
