So you would have benched Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and the Falcons D, and you think that is such a wise decision you not only had to state that, but you had to quote yourself to show people your thoughts twice?

Shrug, it's fantasy. And if Rainey actually gets back in the game, he could still have a great stat day. The entire Buccs O is atrocious, and they weren't running Rainey to begin with, instead preferring to go 3 and out.

No, I would have benched Bobby Rainey in favor of Donald Brown, as that was the question I originally responded to.

Never bench your studs (Ryan, Julio, etc). But if you are deciding between two scrub players, take the guy that doesn't play on Thursday. That is all

Didn't see what you originally responded to. I agree with you.

I hate sounding like a douche posting from hindsight, but sitting Rainey was an easy call if there is a viable alternative. Matt Ryan at home is a machine and a bad buccs team on the road and on TNF was a recipe for disaster. When picking between multiple rb 2-3-flex I always ask myself, is his team prob gonna win? A winning team runs the ball well into the 2nd half. A losing team heaves up desperation passes and can't afford to control the clock.

Is this one of those games where everything is in a players favor but they play terribly? Rainey with 50 yards and a fumble

Cue Nelson - HaHa!

Maybe he gets some garbage time scores?

Mike James top add next week.

Who could have guessed that the Buccs would prefer to pass the ball every down rather than run against the worst run D in the league? I mean it takes a special type of stupid to do that. They had to know they can't protect and they suck at passing. They had to know the opposing offense was strong and it makes sense to shorten the game and control the clock.

But they literally just refused to try to run. Even on 2nd and 1 they wouldn't run, preferring to eat 9 yard sacks.

I might be nuts but I'm starting Rainey over CJ Spiller and Darren Sproles.

LOL

I'm starting, w/confidence, Rainey over R Bush, J Bell, D Woodhead, and S Vareen (two different leagues).

Wow.

lol man. I actually went in and stuck Spiller and Sproles back in for next week. While I still believe in matchup plays with mediocre RBs, I don't have the margin for error the rest of the way out to goof around with RB starts like with Rainey.

I'll gladly take 6.5 all things considered.

Yes, I agree. If he got that TD instead of VJ he'd actually have been a solid RB2 even with all that. I don't know if I will ever start Rainey again, but he'll stay on my bench at least.

My guess is that those costly fumbles will put him behind Martin when Martin comes back week 4.

My guess is that the TB offense will be so inept that none of them will be worth starting.

Locker (last week) = Rainy (this week)

Remind me not to listen to the experts again.

Poor playing calling and lack of preparation.

With that much energy from Atlanta, a few misdirection run and screen early would had helped. If it wasn't for those fumbles, a big game was certainly at hand.
