The crowd funding campaign is focking stupid. I'm sure they'll donate it all to charity or something

Why don't they give it to the two guys who lost their jobs because Brady lied?

Unpack that for me. Under what scenario were those guys keeping their jobs?

Had they not done as instructed they would have lost their jobs as well. So if Brady had told the truth that he instructed them to do it, they might still be employed.

One source texted ESPN's Adam Schefter saying he thinks Tom Brady's four-game suspension could be overturned altogether.

Another source described the legal team Brady is putting together for his appeal as "unreal." It's made up of a load of experienced lawyers, including Jeffrey Kessler. Many believe Brady at least has a better than even chance to have his suspension reduced. "I don't think the Patriots are going to go quietly into the night," Schefter said. "I think this story is just getting started." Deflategate still has months to go, but smart money is on Brady not serving his full four-game ban.

I don't care what anyone says, brady's innocent even if he's proven guilty

I just hope it's a long and costly battle in the courts so we can pay for it . Now that's nice . This is so unimaginable that it's coming down to this over air in a football .

Wrong; it's over cheating; something the Patriots are apparently unable to stop doing.

Less air, better grip not only for QB but WRs and RBs equals less fumbles and probably more receptions. That translates to a better winning percentage and leaves no doubt that it gives the cheating team an unfair advantage.

Go back to one set of balls for both teams and quit the nonsense.

Agree with one set for the teams . But it's still just about air . Now it's to go to court cost tax payers money and who wins then? Sorry but it's just about air . It don't matter I won't lose any sleep over it to many other things are why more important then air in a football .

In 2006 Brady successfully lobbied for teams to control their own gameday footballs; telling the competition committee that 'you wouldn't want Derek Jeter playing with a new glove each game would you?". The very next season (2007), Jim McNally (the deflator), who had been with the Pats organization for 20+ years, was assigned to be the locker room attendant for the officials on game day with access to the game balls. That very season, the Patriots rate of fumbles per touches dramatically dropped to the lowest in the league, and absurdly lower than the next ranked teams. Patriots have maintained that position (lowest fumbles) in every season since and is borne out at home or away. Coincidence?

This deflated ball bs has been going on for years. Like it or not, there's a systemic skirting of the rules in New England. When I say 'skirting of the rules' I mean cheating.

Brady getting lawyer'd up to fight the suspension and the subsequent litigation and endless coverage of this bullhsit aside, nothing will take away the fact that the Pats have now been penalized for cheating twice in Brady/BB's tenure.

And those who came before defending their actions so voraciously - where are you now?

Brady better hope that whatever judge tries his case doesn't force him to expose those digital records that were originally asked of him by Ted Wells.

My guess is that in order for him to prove to a neutral arbitrator or judge that he was innocent, he's going to have to.

What's he got to hide after all?

That's what I am asking. Those calling us names, pretending we were making things up...."it's Physics". Where are you guys? Now you just say "doesn't matter, no advantage" just like in spygate.

As was mentioned earlier, the low fumble rate of the Patriots is statistically impossible in todays NFL

http://pjmedia.com/lifestyle/2015/01/23/deflated-patriots-statistically-impossible-fumble-record/

One can CLEARLY SEE the Patriots, visually, are off the chart. There is no other team even close to being near to their rate of 187 offensive plays (passes+rushes+sacks) per fumble. The league average is 105 plays/fumble. Most teams are within 21 plays of that number.

The odds of such a statistical distribution were calculated at one in 16,233. That’s a comma, not a decimal. Sixteen thousand two hundred and thirty three to one.

Shocking that Brady was the lead dog on the rule change in 2006, the last year the Pats had a REAL non cheating fumble rate before it became statistically impossible on an even scale. Yeah, I am sure it's a coincidence. I mean why would the Pats fit a normal distribution curve right?

I am a come lately to this thread. Not trying to defend Brady, one way or the other. However, I have to ask: (maybe some of you already have) *With an NFL official handling the football before every snap......why didn't an NFL official do something before or during the game in the first half. Why didn't they say: "Hey give me another ball, this one does not feel right". Or maybe: "Hey, give me another ball, this one does not feel right". Yes, I repeated myself. Just like the officials handling the ball should have done it sounds like maybe eleven times if need be. So why is this question not been asked or answered to the extent of questioning the role of the ball boys? It just doesn't get as much press. Just asking.

The obvious answer is the refs could not discern that the football was underinflated by feel. Which oughta tell you that the difference was negligible at best.

Another fine question is if it was such a big deal, why did the NFL run a sting operation allowing the Patriots to use underinflated footballs in the first half of a frigging conference championship game? Again, because it clearly made no real difference.

Yes Brady has guys hide in bathrooms to deflate balls cause it makes no difference to him. You guys are hilarious. If it makes no difference and gives no advantage than why in the heck do it? Get your head out of Brady's ars you are making fools of yourself daily.

Same reason cops let drug deals proceed before making an arrest. You have to catch them in the act just like the Patriots were.

Pathetic excuses. If it didn't make a real difference, why risk doing something illegal? It stands to reason if it gave Brady a better grip on the ball, it gave all the offensive people a better grip on the ball. Therefore, it was a deliberate move to affect the outcome of the games, which it did.

Good luck shaving since you Pat fans can't possibly look yourselves in the mirror.

If it is found that there is absolute proof that he did have knowledge of the ball tampering in his appeal hearing, Goodell should suspend Brady indefinetely. Same for Belicheat.

What should happen if the NFL is wrong ?

Please explain away the evidence already gathered; specifically with texts between those two guys where one guy calls himself the deflator. Also, explain away the video of the guy taking the balls into the rest room. Explain away Brady giving the guy autographed stuff as payback.

This should be entertaining.

The rebuttal is hysterical.

It takes an absolute moron to expect anyone to believe that load of crap.

If the Patriots believed that Brady, Jastremski and McNally are all innocent, then WHY THE HELL DID THEY SUSPEND Jastremski and McNally???? If the a$$ got curves, you better believe it's nice and round.

Part of the scientific team that backed the Patriots' claim just happens to count the Kraft group as one of it's investors.

"MacKinnon may not have a relationship with the Patriots, but, as Noah Gray of Nature magazine pointed out on Thursday afternoon, he has one with the team’s owners. MacKinnon is the “scientific co-founder” and co-chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of a company called Flex Pharma that counts The Kraft Group among its investors."

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/14/roderick-mackinnon-is-scientific-co-founder-of-company-kraft-group-invested-in/

Why should we expect anything less from Kraft and the Patriots?

Since you provide no argument, the NFL can't be wrong in this case? Your question was rhetorical and moot. Well done.

The amount of vitriol that was thrown about, and the amount of rebuttal that was parsed, by many Pats fans on this bored - and to now have little to nothing in response to the Wells report. That just tells me what's up.

If my Bears would have cheated like that I'd feel betrayed. And angry. But I wouldn't come here defending them that's for sure.

I don't feel betrayed or angry , I am not a homer to any team . I think that this whole psi debate is just a really dumb thing . Can't wait for it to go away . But I don't trust either the Pats or Brady or the NFL .
