Obummer solves Iran

Recommended Posts

The State Department on Monday would not rule out giving Iran up to $50 billion as a so-called “signing bonus” for agreeing to a nuclear deal later this year, according to comments made to journalists following reports that the Obama administration had formulated a plan to release tens of billions of frozen Iranian funds.

Experts have said this multi-billion dollar “signing bonus” option, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, could be the largest cash infusion to a terror-backing regime in recent memory.

A cash release of $30 to $50 billion upon reaching a final nuclear agreement would come in addition to the more than $11 billion in unfrozen assets that Iran will already have received under an interim nuclear accord reached in 2013

The cat was let out of the bag recently on this. It is far worse than just this signing bonus. We now know why the sanctions did not work as good in the last few years. Obama has been giving them money and freeing up some of their frozen assets for quite some time now.

Just thinking out loud here... but wouldn't it benefit the U.S. To have Iran on our side, since they're a mostly Shiite country, and these ISIS, Taliban, Al Queada etc. are Sunni? Like Pakistan, India, etc. it seems like we have a common enemy.

Disclaimer: I make no attempt to say whether or not they can be trusted. Just looking at it at face value.

We should probably wait to make them an ally until after their leaders stop running around chanting "Death to America". That kind of stuff gets you scratched off the ally list.

What does this have to do with Iran?

E-mail. It's so 2005. These fockers need to get up to ISIS standards if they want to be taken seriously as a terrorist group.

I mean, sh!t, my 79 year old mother uses e-mail. Twitter is where it's at, Taliban. Hello, this is 2015, welcome to it!

Sheesh!

Iran parliament votes to limit inspections vital to nuclear deal, with deadline looming

Iran's parliament voted Sunday to oppose the inspections of government military sites as part of a pending, multi-nation agreement to curb the country’ nuclear program -- potentially complicating a final deal ahead of a June 30 deadline.

US, West ready to offer nuclear equipment to Iran

The United States and its allies are willing to offer Iran state-of-the-art nuclear equipment if Tehran agrees to pare down its atomic weapons program as part of a final nuclear agreement, a draft document has revealed.

The confidential paper, obtained by the Associated Press, has dozens of bracketed text where disagreements remain. Technical cooperation is the least controversial issue at the talks, and the number of brackets suggest the sides have a ways to go, not only on that topic but also more contentious disputes, with less than a week until the June 30 deadline for a deal.

Deadline likely missed in nuclear deal - Hayden says Iran has 'upper hand'

While U.S.-led world powers hold talks with Iran in Vienna to curb Tehrans illicit nuclear weapons program, the Islamic Republics spies have been seeking atomic and missile technology in neighboring Germany as recently as last month, according to German intelligence sources.

Irans illegal activities have continued since talks between Iran and the P5+1 - the five permanent members of the UN Security Council as well as rotating member Germany - began with a Joint Plan of Action in 2013, according to German intelligence sources. The JPOA was intended to stop Irans work on a nuclear weapon until a comprehensive agreement is reached

I'm not liking the way this deal is turning out either. I supported the temporary one last year but this time I'm hoping it falls apart. The Iranians made a bunch of demands a few months back that any one individually would have required negotiations to cease, let alone collectively.

Yeah sounds like it's time to walk away. Oh well, at least now if we do have to bomb them we can say and know that we tried other solutions first.

I love how people think we can stop countries from developing nukes. I mean, we are talking 1940's tech here. The Chinese figured it out in the 50s for Christs sake.

Not really. Look at North Korea. They are just building subs that can deliver it.

And Iran could Nuke Israel with a slingshot.

Or a van or bicycle.

Judging by Hamas' rockets I'd say Israel has a pretty good missile to missile interceptor system, but let's face it, even if they blow up a nuke over a field or farm rather than a city, it'd still be 15-20% effective which is plenty good enough.

I'm not sure standing back while a government that induces it's population to chant "Death to America" and sets up -not merely banners- stone carvings proclaiming that message everywhere produces nukes is a very good idea.

I'm also not on board with any going off in Israel, although clearly you'd disagree. Iran sponsors Hezbollah and Hamas so they have terrorist friends. They also back Assad who was willing to use chemical weapons despite the US warning of it being a red line and the Shiite militias that fought the US in Iraq.

Allowing Iran to get a bomb means in twenty years, one will go off in Tel Aviv or Paris or London or New York and Iran will do a Bobby Heenan type denial: "What me, I don't know anything about that, I didn't do it, That was somebody else, I wasn't even around at the time."

Ok, but if Israel gets nuked, won't they be firing a nuke back at Iran? You don't really think that Israel doesn't have nukes, right?

Israel does have retaliatory ability. And mutually assured destruction did prove a fine deterrent for the US and USSR for almost 50 years. But we're talking about the Ayatollah in Iran who's more unstable and unpredictable than Kruschev because he's confident that Allah is smiling on him.

Yeah but they are going to be nuking each other, not us. I mean, even if they could reach us they have to know we have thousands of nukes, right?

Well, a deal has been reached. I expected as much. At this point, not enough details to comb over to see.

Like I said earlier, I supported the first deal but was ready to scrap this one when Iran started making unnacceptable demands. There were three, one was we can only look for nukes in the places they tell us we can look, the sanctions had to be lifted immediatly rather than phases in if they were in compliance, and I forgot the third but it may have been way too many reactors or unreasonable limits on inspectors. Whatever it was was really bad too. That the US didn't walk away at that point was deeply troubling so whatever we have now, I can't say I'm very enthused. Instead I'm suspicious and doubt I'll like it. I am hopeful in that I did want a deal. I just expect to be let down that we gave up too much.

Without details at this point the jury is still out. I dunno. See you in this thread again in a few hours.

Obama vs the Ayatollah....we are FOCKED and so is the rest of the planet.

I knew we were focked a few days ago when I saw a clip of Obama saying he would walk away from a bad deal. Since he is allergic to the truth, I knew that meant there was no way in hell he would walk away. All I ever see on MSNBC is them going on and on about Obama's legacy, thinking this is going to be it.

I tend to agree, but for different reasons. His legacy is going to be he is the one who caved to Iran, the Neville Chamberlain of our time.

how are you privy to all the details of the deal? Cam you share them.with the rest of us?

Also, we all know MSNBC is a joke. Don't take anything they say as serious. It's a Fox left

Ill bet before we have details...the left will praise and the right will think its the end of the world.

Im not that excited as i think dealing with them well end in them breaking the deal...but trying to negotiate aomething is certainly a positive thing.
