WhiteWonder 2,767 Posted June 26, 2015 couple take aways -im not completely sold on justice winslow. i think its a bit of a trendy guy fans were picking up on recently. not sure he will be quick enough to guard 3s and big enough to guard 4s. - i really have no clue what the sixers plan is and i dont think sixers fans do either. not to beat a dead horse but most sixer fans i came across were all over MCWs nuts his rookie year. how he was such a steal, yada yada. Then when he gets flipped, of course hes a flawed player who turns the ball over too much (as a rookie no less) and hinkie is the smartest GM in the world. last year they were so pumped about Embiid and Saric. This isn't the NFL where these guys can all get minutes and benefit from spelling each other. Thats a log jam at the 4 and 5... So the answer is... yet another trade or what? or is this a sign Embiid is not progressing as well as claimed and they will try to move him? When is the end game? Back court still sucks... I don't fault them for taking BPA once Russell was snatched from them but at some point the wheel has to stopp spinning and has to land on a plan. - Kaminsky to the Hornets... typical MJ pick. - Nets : hate to see Plumlee go but I really like Hollis-Jefferson. Plumlee couldn't play alongside Lopez. Thad Young did so and did it well. Deron, JJ, Hollis Jefferson, Thad, Lopez. Just wish we could move JJ and his contract and hell, i'd be fine having Jack start at 2 guard. Deron is likely not move-able. - Stanley Johnson was a great pick and Monroe is gone. - Delon Wright lasted way too long but i don't really like him in Toronto. Sho Nuff 720 Posted June 26, 2015 Frank...say what you want about his skill set translating...but they needed scoring and he has been able to do that. And he had the sweetest suit. Guy getting drafted throws down a JC Penney Stafford suit with tanks stitched inside.
MDC 7,498 Posted June 27, 2015 I've been here for months defending Jahlil Okafor even when it looked like my beloved 76ers had no shot at drafting him. So I am tickled pink that the Lakers decided to go Russell and hand Philly the best post player in the draft since Anthony Davis. When the Knicks drafted Porzingis and all those boos rained down I laughed so hard I sharted. Thank God I don't have to root for the sad sack Knicks, Nets or Celtics. KSB2424 3,148 Posted June 27, 2015 Okay, okay, I've calmed down and drank the Kool-Aid. After careful consideration I've decided the Kaminsky pick was a good one and the Hornets floor is sixth seed in the East next season. PG: Kemba Walker, Mo Williams, Brian Roberts SG: Nicholas Batum, Jeremy Lamb, PJ Hairston SF: MKG, Marvin Williams, Jeffery Taylor PF: Cody Zeller, Frank Kaminsky, Bismack Biyombo C: Big Al Jefferson, Spencer Hawes Added some shooting and scoring punch in the two trades and draft pick which was needed. Uber deep at every position. Buzz City is back.

KSB2424 3,148 Posted June 27, 2015 Other than Batum, who the hell plays defense on that team? MKG and Zeller are stellar on D. Coach Clifford has a "team" Defense oriented system similar to how the Warriors play.

WhiteWonder 2,767 Posted June 28, 2015 The 76ers should have an answer on the status of Joel Embiid (foot) in a month. General manager Sam Hinkie said the team is more concerned with Embiid's long-term health, so that suggests they're going to be very cautious with him. There is still some concern that Embiid would need yet another surgery, which would likely sideline him for most of the 2015-16 season. This is not fun for Philly fans. KSB2424 3,148 Posted July 1, 2015 He should leave. Love is criminally underused in Cleveland. Well, maybe. I guess he could always be what Chris Bosh did last year. See his individual stats go up, but his playoffs go down. It's the ultimate descision for NBA starters during this time. Do I go for the money plus the alpha dog status or do I maybe take a little bit less and go to a contender, but play second or third fiddle?

Do I go for the money plus the alpha dog status or do I maybe take a little bit less and go to a contender, but play second or third fiddle? Its system. Cavs were much better with a PF who was on the blocks getting boards. If the 6ers were interested in putting a product on the floor that could compete, dealing Okafor for Love makes alot of sense
KSB2424 3,148 Posted July 1, 2015 Its system. Cavs were much better with a PF who was on the blocks getting boards. If the 6ers were interested in putting a product on the floor that could compete, dealing Okafor for Love makes alot of sense ummmm. No. The Cavs need guys who can knock down shots. Love can knock down shots and rebound, he fits in well and if was not hurt would have helped win the GS series. As good as Tristan Thompson played, he can be left alone when he has the ball outside the paint to double and switch on others. I think the Cavs would be wise to try and keep Love, Tristan, Mosgov AND Varejo as their frontcourt players. Obviously keep Kyrie and also Delly as a back up PG. I think they try to keep Iman Shumpart too. But everyone else is expendable. The rest of the team should be shooters. Guys to spread the floor and knock down shots. JR Smith needs to be gone, hate his attitude. PG: Kyrie, Delly SG: Iman Shupart, <position of need (shooter)> SF: Lebron, <postion of need (shooter)> PF: Love, Tristan C: Mosgov, Varejo Deep Bench: Leadership guys like Mike Miller, Shawn Marion, and James Jones. They need to resign Love and add a couple young, knock down snipers on that team (on the cheap). I just looked up unrestricted Free Agents, here are some shooters they could sign for the mid level veteran exception or even less: Jason Terry (fantastic grab if they could) Gary Neal Kyle Singler Ray Allen (yes, that Ray Allen) Wayne Ellington
phillybear 366 Posted July 1, 2015 Its system. Cavs were much better with a PF who was on the blocks getting boards. If the 6ers were interested in putting a product on the floor that could compete, dealing Okafor for Love makes alot of sense Kevin Love sucks at playing defense. SUCKS. The Sixers this past season were a top 10 team in defensive efficiency, vastly improved from the previous year. Some of that was Noel, some of that was a team commitment to playing defense. As questionable as Okafor's defense is, Love is much, much worse. Kevin Love is nearly 27 years old while Okafor is 19. The trade wouldn't be a fit for the rebuilding Sixers. What is strange is that Cleveland traded Wiggins and more to get Love. I thought the trade was dumb then, and much, much dumber now. Love is overrated to me. Edit: I just googled "Kevin Love sucks playing defense" and got over a million results.
Artista 460 Posted July 1, 2015 It'll be clear what Love is looking at once he makes his decision. The parade just barely ended here and the talk on the Warrior's channel is Cavs are favored to win it all next year!
