The suspension seems on target. I am not clear how the team loses a draft pick or two but the head coach and owner essentially get nothing, this seems inconsistent to me. Perhaps it is part of an expected appeal strategy, who knows.

 

I think Brady may have gotten off too light and I think the team may have been a little over-punished given the abscense of any action beyond the picks. I think if you are taking picks it is implicit as to an overall team issue.

 

Regardless, the suspension has little effect on any games, anyone can take a step back and throw for 5 - 7 yards, its just not that hard.

 

Still, it is good and proper that cheating has been met and action taken. I honestly do not believe that this changes anything in the organization, the pieces that ensure cheating happens remain, will shrug this off as the cost of doing business, and find new ways to cheat.
