As a Giants fan, I can emphatically declare that I am not jealous of the Patriots.

Looks like the rest of the league had enough of Krafts nonsense. And by the rest of the league I mean Pittsburgh(Rooney) and New York (Mara). Those are the real powers in the NFL.

Indianapolis Colts been getting their ass kicked all over town by Brady since Peyton left.

Troy Vincent lost a Super Bowl to him.

All a bunch of fagg0t crybaby sore losers. NFL has irrevocably tarnished its brand with this focking bullsh1t

That might be true if the Pats hadn't been caught cheating. Twice. Root for a team that doesn't cheat or learn to deal with the consequences.

LOL This is worth the price of admission. A real life break down right before our very eyes.

Yes, Robert Kraft did exactly what the pats fans here did. The day after the report, acted humbled and said he'd go along with whatever the league says as a discipline. Now that it's been handed out, he's whining like a big pussie. If you're really upset about the atmosphere the current regime has created, fire some people.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.

This penalty isn't getting reduced - it's sticking. Goodell has botched every issue that's landed in his lap... He can't risk being soft for his chub buddy Kraft. Least not forget, there are 31 other owners watching this too, 31 other owner Rog answers too as well.

NFL didn't tarnish anything.

Ih, and after i looked, i think Vincent had already left the Eagles before the pats beat them in the sb

Couldn't find him in the stats on profootballreference for that year

I think you're right. Unlike the Rice situation, they got this one right. Charlie Casserly said they got off easy. He's shocked that Bellichick wasn't suspended. Since Payton got suspended just for being the head coach.

Are Patriot fans so paranoid that they now think players from any team they ever beat also hate them?

Lame. No physical proof.

Beat a kid in the nads, all good. Maybe know someone deflated a ball possibly, lose a pick and 4 games.

Heres a good article that shows some faults with the NFLs decision to punish so heavily.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/five-reasons-why-the-nfl-got-the-deflate-gate-punishment-dead-wrong-233900364.html

"Also, in 2012 the San Diego Chargers used towels with an adhesive substance on their game balls and didn't give them up to the NFL immediately when ordered to do so. If you think the Panthers-Vikings thing was just some honest mistake, it's a lot harder to convince anyone that there was no intent by the Chargers to gain an advantage. And the Chargers' punishment? A $20,000 fine. That's it."

The above statement from the article makes a good point. That is definitely on the same level, if not worse, than the deflating the ball. Not trying to defend the Patriots but just saying there are other teams out there who do things like this but dont receive the same amount of media coverage or hate

Only problem is...the Chargers did end up the towels and there was found to be nothing illegal with them.

The NFL also said in a statement Wednesday that after investigating the Chargers' use of towels that included an adhesive substance, it was determined that San Diego did not violate any rules.

They were fined for not immediately handing them over when first asked.

I don't remember reading that years ago. Prob cause I didn't really care too much and it wasn't publicized like the patriots were.

Its in the link that you posted.

Just seems like a pitiful attempt to excuse what Brady/Pats did.

Eh I didn't read it fully. Just the high lights. I still maintain that the punishment was too much and will get reduced.

It staggers the imagination, these continued attempts...first to deny, then to justify, and now to subvert. It really is something to behold.

Also keep in mind that for these four game days they are making him stay at home in his mansion with his model wife.....and think about what he did wrong. Somehow, he still seems to be winning..... :dunno:

No doubt he still will be rich with a hot, model wife. But if he's anything like me he's still gonna hate not being able to play a sport he loves

If I was Brady, I would immediately sign an endorsement deal with fix a flat, just to give goodell the finger.

That would actually be hilarious.

I think there is a lot more to come out about this in the future. Too many people involved, too many know. If more than one person knows it's not a secret. It may help the Pats and Brady, but it probably won't. I could see some bitter people with knowledge of other teams shenanigans speaking up.

Why would a reputable company like that want to be associated with Tom Shady?

Because thier commercial would get 1,000 free plays on every sports radio station in the country, and countless hours of espn discussion.

No such thing as bad publicity. Especially if it's free.

It can be a fine line between gamesmanship and cheating. This isn't such a line. Had they submitted balls below the limit in hopes that the refs would let it slide or worst case fill them up to the allowable limit, that is gamesmanship. For everyone saying it is silly because it is only a few PSI, please internalize this: Brady coordinated an operation with the locker room attendants where, after the balls had been submitted and tested, they would take them into a bathroom and let air out of them. That is basically an organized criminal (for lack of a better word) activity. It was important enough to Brady to do it. If you can't see the fundamental problem with this behavior, you are too emotionally invested in it. HTH.

don't even waste your time. Pats fans seem to think they can do whatever they want and it shouldn't be penalized. 8 years later and they still won't admit Spygate was cheating. And they'll never admit that Brady is a cheating liar either. Let them cry. Eventually their team will win a Super Bowl without a cheating scandal.

Crying? I've been laughing non-stop ever since Obama won his first election and you and your cronies started your whinefest. My laughing doubled when your beloved Cheatriots got caught again. And seeing Patriot Nation come apart at the seems is just icing on the cake.  :first:

This conduct by other teams would have Patriots fans riled up, but they lack the capacity to hold their own team accountable. As you stated, its gamesmanship.....or "everybody does it" ....or "it doesn't matter they would win anyway".....any excuse to avoid admitting the filth their team has become.
